Should I comment on my own blog anonymously?

Hey, I'm thinking of commenting on my own blog to make it seem more 'alive' and filled with people.

Should I do this? Can this backfire somehow? I use the Disqus platform by the way.

Thanks

i do it, but not excessively. just 1-4 comments depending on the page, content, traffic, etc. just to get the ball rolling and what not.

hell, sometimes i edit spam comments to my liking and approve them too.

i do 50-100 word comments , not from starting a conversation POV but for on page seo .

If it's just about revealing some visits to the real visitors, you can do it. But, wait a minute and think, you will comment on what you already know and that won't add anything there. At the end, the outcome will be null. There will be no real comments to tell you, what's good and what's bad. There won't be any critique of the post, you submit rapidly on your blog. Better you built an audience and let them say their words. And there you engage with them and make them coming more by responding. It will take time, but gradually it will work. :)

You should, if you are selling stuffs, it helps you increase conversion rate as well as onpage SEO.

You must comment on your blog if no one comments it anymore.
Remember the rule number one: no one comments empty blogs or forums.
Do you know that founders of reddit created tons of fake accounts to discuss something on reddit?

WOW.. I never knew this. I think that's a really hard work operating tons of fake accounts and make fake conversations everyday, it paid off though :clap2:

You can use Scrapebox too to make comments on your blog, as others said it previously don't make the amount of comments excessive. Perhaps I'm lame with SB, but I couldn't auto-comment my blog after watching Loopline's video about it.
Only the manual commenter worked for me. Fastposter said that not all settings were set, whatever it meant.

Thank you for that, very interesting read. Definitely gonna do it now, and yeah, I myself wouldn't touch a website without comments.

Thanks everyone for the replies, gonna follow the input and put a couple of my own comments

Yeah, can't use scrapebox either, and definitely not risking this website in any way. Maybe in the future when I can afford multiple websites where to put multiple comments on.

Just gonna put some of my comments the good old fashioned way

Classic question. I think some have pointed to possible benefits such as making the site seem more engaging, possible SEO benefits, etc... but how many comments is the right number, and why not just outsource it at Fiverr or something, or code a simple bot. P.S. Scrapebox isn't even hard to use at all, and using to post comments to your own site for limited volume would be super easy, and completely safe.

But for five or six comments - sure do whatever you want.

i think you should not do that .by doing this act your site looks cheap or low worth.yes you can comment by using different emails .it will be good

Why you couldn't how they even know the blog is yours :) . Maybe you are just moderating it

Don't do it, if someone spot You, You will loose all your credibility and Your blog will be designed as a scam...

Just wait fro traffic to come and find groups where You can share it...

Just ask for feedback to other people on groups You can share Your website !

an don't forget a call to action to get more comments

In all likelihood, nobody would be able to find out that it was you making the comments? Unless, there is something I don't know? I would think commenting on your posts would definitely motivate others to do the same. However, I wouldn't flood it with numerous comments! Just take your time and make them look legitimate and human.

Probably you can, if it's creating any differences. Its not harmful to promote oneself if the content carries useful stuffs to be observed at least once.
