My wife has a blog and she titles it, Faith, Family and Autism A Mom's Blog

the url for the site is faithfamilyandautism.com

The key word we use for the site is Autism Mom... but since autism mom does not appear in the URL it is seemingly making it much harder to rank...

I did some searching and a better domain name is available that matches up with the keyword we want to be ranked for is available....

the blog has only been "live" for 4 days with little traffic (30 pageviews a day).... would it make sense for her to come up with a new blog "name" closer related to Autism Mom keyword and migrate the old domain to the new domain??

Would this be worth it and make it easier to rank?

first of all: it might not be smart to share the complete details. There is a lot of competition going on and some1 might actually pick on your niche and decide to grab that domain for him/herself.

Other than that - if your domain is 4 days old it really makes little to no difference to change the domain. It would be a problem after a year or 10, because you'd basically lose all your backlinks etc...(can redirect but that's tough).
So if you think you think a direct match domain helps oyu, I don'T see a problem with change the url.
I did not do any research so it's hard to tell, if it really would be worth it :)

Its not good to reveal all information, first thing you should do is remove that available domain name and keyword from the description before someone else register it.

there is no problem if you want to change your domain name as it is fairly a new blog and that 30 pageviews might be bot traffic too.

I checked your keyword and a similar low authority site is ranking with keyword in the domain so it looks good idea to migrate your blog to mentioned domain.

Your keyword has low but enough searches per month for the newbie.

I will suggest you to register that domain and remove internal information from the description if you don't want to increase your competition.

stick with the old one .. its a established webpage with some thrust as it sounds ... so no change in the domain name.

I think now, you should have to use the same domain because you started promoting it.
Now, you have to change the keywords according to your domain. It'll bring positive results to your blog. You have to promote your blog on active places for best results.

Sorry I have to disagree, I do not think having all of the keywords in the domain will make or break you now a days.

    Buying
    omfgthisisthemainkeywordohandmaybealongtailoneinthedomainsogooglewillrankme.info does not mean results.

Go for autismmomblog.com if your blog is about autism... because your site is just 4 days old and the new domain is more related to topic of your blog and when your blog appears in search results users will definitely click before on autismmomblog.com
