If the website is on the same niche from the date of creation then it's good.

Check anchor text, make sure not porn, gambling related anchors are there.

If backlinks are contextual then it's good to go.

If all the above conditions are met then buy it.

The stats are suspect....

- It was an average of 100 backlinks per referring domain,( per the first moz screenshot , 2000 per rd per the second!) which is WAY too high

- There are 3100 + RDs (per the first, 1146 per the second), yet it only has one ranking kw (probably the domain name itself or the brand name)

- it's hemorrhaging RD's per the Moz screenshot..

From what I see, save your money
 
No. Too few referring domains to backlinks. That’s spam.

You want to aim for domains where RD number is close to backlink number. The closer you can get those two numbers, the better.
 
Agreed with above, I find many of these that the large number of backlinks were created in a short period of time too. Many of these get deleted and abused by spammers. If archive dot org recent history is blocked out, you won't know it until after you buy it potentially and start logging the 404's.
