I'm looking for a video editing software with good functionalities and that would support layers but not so expensive and complicated as adobe premiere or sony vegas.

Anyone tried Movavi Video Editor or can recommend some alternatives?

And why is it you can't learn the more advance editors? You get what you pay for, thousands of tutorials come along with the upper tier editors.

It's not that I can't learn them. It's that I have to invest my time in other activities

I am using Movavi Video Editor 8 for my video tutorials. I don't make anything fancy, some cutting, transitions, titles and voice-over. No problems with these tasks at all. It supports unlimited number of video tracks so you can work with layers and opacity. Nice easy piece of software, I can recommend it.

I use Sony Vegas and I enjoy the number of options it has for editing videos. Plenty of tutorials on youtube to help get you started
