So I get the general reasons why not to buy facebook likes/follows...with those reasons being:
    1. bad edgerank which reduces visiblity on news feed
    2. bad engagement leading to higher ad costs
    3. could look fake with no real comments
    4. many many more

but how much harm would it be to buy say, just 100-200 likes/follows? instead of the excessive amounts people normally get

for me specifically, I am advertising my website using facebook ads, that is my main purpose.
I simply require a decently reputable FB page for if customers click on my FB name instead of my FB advertisement (clicking on FB name leads to my business page and clicking on FB ad leads to my site)

Of course, if a customer decides to view my FB page and see 0 likes/follows that will be a huge, huge turnoff.....I simply want over 100ish followers to not look completely irrelevant

so with this exact situation in mind, should I buy those 100-200 likes/follows? if it is fine, is it smart to get potentially more? like 300-500 range?
are there some serious consequences i might be overlooking given what my reason for using FB?

any feedback would be AWESOME and THANKS A LOT for all input provided, it means a lot

.......great question the 100-200 likes/follows is a reasonable AMOUNT to start off with a little bit of social signals going around the the right way GOOGLE with take your HAND$ in MARRIAGE

assuming you've done your keyword research

    ) key word rich content

and so on and so on

Edgerank can be a problem, but since you're running advertisements as a point of contact instead of pure page posts, you shouldn't really be concerned about it (but edgerank is almost impossible to determine as it has over 100k factors - affinity score is pretty much the only thing we can manipulate to a certain degree).
I would recommend purchasing some targeted facebook page likes, whilst they are difficult to acquire, running a facebook likes camp might help. Another way to acquire page likes on the cheap that are semi-related is reaching out to influencers in your niche. If all else fails, resort to panels. It seems your business is a long-term thing, and if thats the case, panels should be your last resort.

    Depend on your Strategy.

-For my last project I bought 1000 likes.
    -Than I started Fb Promotion.
-After I reached 3000 targeted likes I deleted these 1000 fake likes.

To do that you will have to go to your Fb Page - Settings - People and other Pages - Select People - Remove from Page Likes.

Note: You will need to remember the date when these fake likes arrived so that u can select and remove them (this method is recommended for new fan pages with 0 or very few real likes).

Newbies maybe wondering "why buying fake likes if u r going to delete them" - It is easier to start Facebook Add campaign when u have likes. People are reacting more to page that already have likes than to page with 0 likes.

    I hope it helps :)
