The website went live on September 24, and I have maintained the practice of uploading a blog post every day, but I do it manually. The AI's role is only to query data and give suggestions. The keywords are embedded in a way that is consistent with search intent, and I don't choose popular topics to compete first. I'm a bit confused about what to do next.

This is the right thing to do for new sites. The key is just to slowly build traffic with long-tail keywords with low difficulty and stay consistent with it, which it seems you're doing. When I start a new site the keywords I target to start with all have a max of 40 volume which will usually get about 4-10 views a month for each. A good way to predict these pages will rank (granted your SEO is on point) is by searching the main keyword on Google and if there are less than 3-4 pages directly targeting this keyword, you have a good chance.
Once you build steady traffic and trust on the site you can start building links to target more popular keywords.
Hope this helps!

You're doing everything correct. After a hundred or so blog posts you can start adding backlinks.
