SEOverse has been spreading this advice that you shouldn't add the brand names of the products you review in your review content. But Danny Sullivan responded to this - "No, you shouldn't be afraid to mention the brand of what you're reviewing. It's literally what readers expect you to do, and our systems try to reward what's useful to readers."

And I agree with Sullivan, because how can you review something without mentioning the brand itself?

So what do you think, does this affect SEO?

Honestly, just exercising common sense it makes total sense to talk about the brand. If you're reviewing a Lenovo laptop you'd definitely talk about how it is a brand with a great reputation. If it were something like Dell, you'd highlight how they;ve had countless issues with QC with their mass produced machines. The concept applies to anything. If it's a new brand you'd talk about how they've just launched or something along those lines.

That’s completely a garbage advice. How would someone possibly review a product without mentioning the product/brand name? I dunno who they are, but this advice doesn’t make any sense.

Sometimes it helps to think like a common person rather than thinking like a seo expert.

Yep, brand name should be mentioned in the review.. Without mentioning it, how does a reader know exactly what product the review is for? Also mentioning the brand name will not affect SEO

No, mentioning brand names in reviews helps SEO. It improves user experience and targets relevant keywords.

I can't understand the logic behind creating a review without mentioning the brand

Talking about the brand names in your product reviews is important because it helps readers understand what you're reviewing, which is good for SEO too.

Yes, when there is detailed reviews by users that mention your brand names will help to build trust and authority among audience. as well as your brand reputation.

Adding a brand name will give an honest opinion about the brand and also the one who reviews it.

Yeah, you are correct friend!

Unless telling the brand name how can we review about that product. It's doesn't makes any sense.
