If I needed to SEO a page on a website [Say on the New York Times or Huffington Post] and needed front page for a specific search term in days but didn't care about what happened to it's SEO after that... what would I do?

    What would you do?

    Cheers!

EDIT - Just so we're clear, this is a page on a big news site as I suggested above. I do not own these pages, they are just good stories about one of my products that I want to SEO.

If it is your site and and an obvious important one then go for slow and calculated SEO by building quality Links but if you feel that your site is not so much important then you can surely use some bots to test the effect on it.You can use other SEO blackhat tools as well to sort out some stuffs but it completely depends on the priority and competition of that site itself.
