    Hello guys,
If someone have any experience with shopify, it's this normal: http://prnt.sc/b9rrmn ?
One of the reasons it could be that I'm only accepting paypal payments? I was thinking to add 2checkout to see if there's any difference...but I would like to hear your experience too.

    Thanks,

Yes payment gateway could be a problem since you offer only PayPal.

Do you offer free shipping or you charge for shipping?

What about product prices are they higher?

No, the shipping is free for all products.
The prices are a bit high, but as they already added to the cart and completed the information details...they got stuck at the payment.

    100%. Use Stripe.

What are you selling? I know so many people involved in IM only think about PayPal, but in the real world, credit cards account for most transactions. Accept cards and those numbers will improve drastically.

Out of those available options I would use 2Checkout...

    Hey,

That is what is called cart abandonment.

A number factors influence your cart's abandonment rate. Including, but not limited to -

    - Change of mind when seeing the final checkout value.
    - Realising you don't have enough funds to cover the purchase.
    - Googling and finding a better deal elsewhere
    - Not being aware of Paypal Checkout or not liking Paypal or not having a Paypal account.
    - Knowing that your card doesn't work with Paypal

It is very difficult to determine if those numbers are normal without seeing your actual website.

Please take a look at two Shopify apps meanwhile that are known to help with Cart Abandonment.

Jilt - Allows you to send and schedule unlimited emails to recover abandoned carts - has a 2 week free trial
Abandon Aid - Really simple, can be configured in less than an hour - has a week-long trial - This is something I use.

    Thanks.
From this screenshot http://prnt.sc/b9rrmn this app will recover those 100 customers or the only 36 ones?
It's kinda hard to think it will send an email to all 100, as they didnt wrote their email nowhere.
For those 36...I sent them manually an email to see what worked bad for them, I'm still waiting for their replies.

I think you can pay with paypal (writting your CC details) without having a paypal account, or am I wrong?

For the "Added to Cart" rate - you will have to tweak your actual website so that the cart/checkout buttons are more apparent.

    That is an on-site issue.

What you want to salvage is the part where people have reached checkout and then abandoned your cart.

You can, but it is an added step.

Paypal is a very famous Payment Gateway for us Internet Marketers. But for the general population, it's not that popular. They still prefer paying with their card directly and without having to click "Don't Have a Paypal Account?"

    Think this through,

    1. You're on a website, you like some products, you decide to make a purchase and add your products to the cart.
    2. Now you proceed to checkout
    3. On Checkout you find that the site accepts payments payments from an obscure gateway, you know nothing about. Let's call it "PayFriend"
    4. When you try to make a payment, PayFriend asks you to login to your PayFriend account.
    5. But you just want to order the damned products and don't want a PayFriend account.
    6. You know nothing about PayFriend and don't want to sign up to anything. Maybe they charge you a monthly fee?
    7. What do you do?

    Abandon Ship!

Yes PayPal can be used to process CC payments without an account.

Yes, but that's why I asked what you were selling. For example, if it was products aimed towards older people they would see PayPal and if they didn't use it they wouldn't continue. They would assume they need a PayPal account and then leave the cart.

It's obvious he wasn't interested in sharing his website with a new member without any credibility or name in the forum.

Build your profile here first, so that other users can trust you. Once you have that, then go around asking for others websites.

    That funny enough for you?
