Shopify or woocommerce?

Technology is just a tool, unless you invented it, it has no value. Selling is based on revenue. Figure out how to make revenue that will determine the money you will make when you wish to sell.

Shopify.

If you have the right premium theme for it, then it's as customizable as anything else. Plus, a few coding skills that you can easily acquire by browsing YouTube tutorial videos.

WC is a great alternative option, but if you look at the biggest major brands - they are using Shopify (for an example Zippo, Nescafe, most of the celebrities such as Adele, Lady Gaga, K. Jenner, Jeffree Star, Budweiser, even Tesla and Oreo) because it's a trustable platform with original options that most of these alternative platforms have simply copied.

Same can be said about WC

1- Even more larger brands are using it.
2- Total control over your store.
3- One time fee plugins. So MUCH cheaper than Shopify no matter how you see it.
4- Wins vs Shopify over the Seo department (and by FAR)
5- 1000x more available themes (much cheaper than Shopify).

I use both. Each one has its purpose.

If you wanna go with a short term dropshipping store then Shopify is your bet. If you wanna go with a more complete and stable solution for a long term brand then Definitely Woocommerce, bigcommerce or Prestashop.

woocommerce its best because its easy to configure setup and customization just try woocommerce you will interest to use over and over again :)

If you have good programming knowledge then Shopify is best otherwise 100% woocommerce.

Generally woocommerce is one of the most flexible platforms for online businesses,

Shopify. You need a lot of skills to make a good woo setup/plugins which costs.

You would want to answer a few questions below :D:

1. Do you know how to manage a VPS/hosting? Let's say security, configurations, and backups (important), ...
- Yes -> Woo
- No -> Shopify
2. Can you afford downtime and the hassle to fix your site whenever it has issue?
- Yes -> Woo
- No -> Shopify
3. Do you want your sites to be fastest to your customer as possible?
- Yes -> Shopify
- No -> Woo
4. Do you like simplicity?
- Yes -> Shopify
- No -> Woo
5. Do you plan to scale your store as fast as possible?
- Yes -> Shopify
- No -> Woo
6. Do you want more statistic of your stores?
- Yes -> Shopify
- No -> Woo
7. Need live chat support?
- Yes -> Shopify
- No -> Woo

Regarding pricing, if you want to have a service level same as Shopify (CDN, Anycast, fully backed up, Live chat, POS, integrated apps) those things will cost you more in both time and money ;)

And no for god sake, you don't want to go through the hassle of migrating between 2 platforms, even if they have the import apps, a lot of things can go wrong and costs you a lot in time (and time is money), so think on the long run :D

My vote would be Shopify

great, need 2 try shopify :)

Shopify is easier, WC more flexible (if you know what u doing) and it's free (+hosting)

For a dropshipping/ecomm quick solid set up, Shopify for simplicity , if you have ZERO tech skills, its a great option, some of the biggest stores, and influencers on the internet use it, kylie, kanye, trump ( maga ) Fleshlight, slightly more expensive than WOO/WP

For an agency site/ personal brand, or less agressive scales , and if u have more time to study and learn, WOO !

Woocommerce for sure.
Shopify has too many monthly costs from the apps.

If you are going to sell in the future, then I would go with shopify.
