I'm posting this on blackhat lounge, not a shitlist for a reason that it will not help me anyway and it was just a little lesson for me.
So I have been scammed for 200$ for the service of Instagram followers.

The client paid 200$ for the work being done and after that I've been confirmed that everything was delivered well as expected.

After few days he did a chargeback on his local bank and for a now paypal is holding this payment. I was charged -200$ in my account balance which I had to pay from my personal budget.

I know his email, Instagram profile, name and last name, skype (which is probably fake), blackhatworld username (quite new user so it's worth nothing).

I sent all screenshots of skype log and explained what the seller paid for with screenshots of his Instagram account before and after and the agreement that the work was done well.

I believe that paypal will not care about this situation as it's virtual service not a shipable product. So I can forget the payment.

Also I've contacted the client and he told me that he has no clue what happened and his bank did this chargeback itself. He told me that he will pay again but it have been weeks with the same bullshit story and apologizes that he will do this right away.

What would you do in my situation? Just forget and move on or anything else I could do?

Just mention to PP that this is virtual service and the client got what he wanted and show them his receipts. That's it. PP will most probably shut the case on his face (unless it's a CC charge-back -- if so, forget the payment).

Next time allow the new members to become a bit more active on the forum and then when they approach you, you can check their past posts to form an initial impression about them.

The newer he or she is, the more risks involved for the seller -- you'd probably not know whether you're dealing with a sheep or a wolf! :)

If its virtual service and you have delivered it then PP will side with you. Just explain that its a virtual service and not a physical delivery.

Beyond that move on... nothing much you can do about it. All people will get scammed one time or another especially on a blackhat forum. Just have to learn from our mistakes and move on.

Just get back to making more money and focusing on what earns you the money.

Please take time to file shitlist so member is banned. While it might be too late for your case, think of others that this scammer might rip. No need to allow him active in the forum.

What if you ask the customer to pay with paypal gift option? That can not be reversed and your payment is safe. Just my 2 cents. I am sorry for you`ve been scammed.

In my daily job we are dealing with charge backs. International bank laws grant right for customer for ask their banks to pull the money spent in the last 6 months back. Once a customer scammed us and ig is proven that the card used was not stolen, we sell the collection right to an outside company. The take care of such cases. I know this does not help you in any way :(

i guess he is a German member. We have the option to pay by debit transfer, what means, we send paymentsnand PP is charging the bank account within the account. If there is not enough funds in the bank account, they charge it automatically back, and what you describe is typical.

means it could be the client says the truth. try to send him a few cents. if they go through his account is not locked and that means he has lied, as he is only able to use his account again, once the 200 are payed back.
