If I am doing BH activity on one website on my shared hosting, with the intent to churn and burn, would my other sites on my hosting that are whitehat be affected by the penalization?

anybody? I feel like many people would know the answer of this question..

Well just suffered penalty which i think was caused by churn and burn site that was on a same host as my money site..So i would strongly advise against it

So all sites on that host were penalized or just yours?

No, your other sites won't get penalized just because they are in same shared hosting. If there is something else linking the sites then you have higher risk as they share the same server IP.

Thanks for the answer. Unfortunately I've heard both ways..can anyone clarify?

If it's the IP that gets penalized and your accounts are under the same IP, there could be a problem, if they're on different ones, or at least different class C, then you're fine as long as the accounts are otherwise not linked. If they are linked, then once again there may be a problem.

Use different IPs, preferably on different accounts. Better safe than sorry.

Okay I think I'm goign to go ahead and buy a dedicated IP under my hosting. I've already started working on my website and I don't want to move it or spend money on new hosting. Will this work? I'm using godaddy and from my understanding if I just buy a dedicated iP it will change the IP of that one website

I would have to say, just under logic that it would have to be some pretty bad stuff. At the same time also, I am sure they probably found a connection between the sites in some way. Google must take into consideration that alot of people who are bloggers, are using a shared hosting service. If you are just some normal blogger, posting your love of paper airplanes, then how are you supposed to be aware of your bad neighborhood. That is given you signed up for one of the zillion normal hosting services, that are out there.... Food for thought, also I am sure they probably already know its linked, before you even started it, hell before you even thought it, hell before you were even born.

GOOGLE IS SKYNET!!

i had 9 sites under same vps hosting that were all hit but as far as shared hosting no they wouldnt get hit

It won't make you a problem. There are hundreds of websites that are hosted on the same shared IP that you use, but in future, I would recommend you using different IPs and hosting accounts for maximum safety.
