Just got market samurai. Seems like a great tool!

The intro videos on the site are weak.

Can someone tell me how they find the best keywords using the keyword research tool. Maybe a formula they use, best filters to use and why?
Also, how to read the seo competition tool to determine if it is easy to rank for a keyword or not?

Thanks for all of your tips.

I don't think they have any formulas, it's all direct data.

There is no answer to your question.

What might seem great to you might seem like crap to me.

MS simply presents data to you. How you interpret that data comes down to experience, the market you are reviewing and your business plan.

Sure, anyone can give you a formula. But in reality, I might just as well pull one out of my arse for the value it will give you.

Try this as a formula because it is not really a formula.

    1. How much do you want to earn from this site?

    2. If you get into position 1 for your main term, how much traffic do you think your total site will get? Repeat for lower positions (remember, you get traffic to lesser terms too).

    3. How reasonable is it to rank in those positions within x time frame?

    4. What investment will you have to make (time, effort, money) to get to that position?

    5. What is the average dollar value of a visitor?

    6. To collect rapid data, are you willing to pay for some initial traffic?

    7. Is the average cost of a unique vistor x value per visitor greater than your profit target.

    8. If 7 is yes, go ahead. If 7 is no, go to the next idea.
