How can you achieve this rankings below and yet the traffic is ridiculously shameful. Below are the keyword rankings hopefully you guys would be able to shed a light

    Google.com
Keyphrase Ranking No 2 (Exact 3600)
Keyphrase Ranking No 1 (Exact 720)
Keyphrase Ranking No 1 (Exact 880)

    Google.co.uk
Keyphrase Ranking No 1 (exact 2900)
Keyphrase Ranking No 1 (exact 320)
Keyphrase Ranking No 1 (exact 260)
Keyphrase Ranking No 2 (exact 1300)
Keyphrase Ranking No 1 (exact 720)

Yet with this ranking, I could not get 20 UV from it.

Though this are just relatively new rankings, what going on? am just baffles that the traffic am getting is shameful

Use social media specially Pinterest for traffic. Do not rely on your rankings only.

Keep in mind, that those exact figures are not the end of the story.

Let's take 3600/month as an example. Even if you rank #1 for that keyword, you will still get roughly only about 40% of that figure, because of Adwords ads above you.

So that would mean about 1440/month, and that number will also fluctuate, because sometimes you get only 1 ad above you, but you can have up to 3 of them, which will obviously affect the traffic you'll be getting.

    Hope this helps.

I cant comprehend how you are only getting 20 uvs from that even accounting for paid advertisers above you....Either google are being loose with the figures(not unlikely) or your titles are so toxic they are scaring everyone down to P3 ?

Adwords, google shopping, google places, site below you having author pages or a video. Could be many reasons. If you PM me the keywords I can take a look at it for you. You should be getting around ~150-200 UVs/day at the minimum. You should also check webmaster tools and see what your average rankings are since you achieved #1 position.

This is a valid point. What exactly is the end user seeing Google in regards to your site? Is there a specific call to action? Just because you are at the top doesn't necessarily give people incentive to click! Try a number of changes to your tags but don't get so crazy that you disrupt the ranks. Patience combined with some trial and error will be your best approach.

I've come across and overseen site with terrible title on no 1 with decent click through rate, but this is just ridiculously painful, if you guys knew the keyphrase you would understand my pain.

Edit to add, the site below my site which only just took position 1 before I took it off him has alexa ranking of 100k which I assume the site visitors are in the hundreds, and all the visitors comes from this particular keyphrase am now ranking no 1 for.

Please use Google Analytics to see the impressions for your Website for search results. from there you can also check the CTR for your site. So those would give you good idea of how much your keywords were researched (impressions), and if the CTR is low for some keywords (like say below 2%), then you surely want to change your description and title to attract more visits.

Please check which Pages are getting maximum CTR and infer those titles and description for other pages and keywords. this is repetitive process and you would gradually be able to improve CTR for your pages even with the same rankings.

Thanks for that, changing my titles are not a good option for me, gambled the other day by changing the title end up getting a kick out of serp till i reverse it back to previous title.

To be honest the site description is not a bad one.
