I'm wondering what's the safest way to do this, i.e.. is it safe to use just a proxy to not get detected by Google, or is a VPN a must for this?

Could you please recommend someone? As the hard part's always sourcing someone reliable.

Hire a VA on elance for $2/hour, get all profiles (and then some) setup in 2 hours. Go to the $1 store and buy yourself a drink.

You can do them all by yourself but you need some software and quite a few proxies. Vpn won't be enough, because you need plenty of new ips for your accounts.

build some high page rank web 2.o profiles using moneyrobot (SEE SIG - test it 7 days for FREE) .one proxy not sure is enough,i usually use 20-50 private proxies every month for better success ratio and without getting spam complaints

Well i'm not trying to con rofl, but in vpn's you are getting only 1 ip per session. Use xenuke for web 2.0 with a captcha service, you could do some accounts without proxies/vpn just don't try to over use them. Plus there are plenty of web 2.0 services that will help you rank well for start.

    Detected by Google?

Unless they use recaptcha (which is owned by Google) then setting up accounts will have zero to do with Google - once you are out of the site the IP address used for sign up is (in 99% of cases) gone as well.

Your first battle to get accounts to live isn't with Google - it's with the site owners (Wordpress, Livejournal whoever) They are the ones that check against banned IP addresses -= banned email suffixes etc. They are the ones that check and ban for too many links, gibberish content and plagiarism (and some over commercial niche keywords that many sites now don't allow, like "weight loss")

The chances of Google getting involved until you actually start offsite SEO is somewhere between minimal and zero

So make them in the most effective way you like. Use proxies if you are going to make multiple accounts on the same site (lots of Wordpress accounts for example) not for Google's sake - they couldn't give a toss...but for Wordpress's sake - they will ban your accounts and delete them.

The first battle in WEB2.0 is to get your profiles alive and accepted by the sites themselves - not Google.

You should build a few manual web 2.0's and make a good job of them, then build up there seo metrics and you will have some powerful back links to your money site. For a full guide on building them safely check out this post.....

Make sure to use dedicated private proxies that haven't already been spammed to death.

Outsource on fiverr. Takes years to create.
