I was just wondering, I'm setting tiers within GSA, but should I hold off on making them all active? Like should I only run tier 1 links, and then in a couple days start doing tier 2 and so on? Or should I just immediately throw them all into active so it starts making links as soon as there are some verified links?

Suggest you to wait for a few days before blasting tier 2.

If you are actually not really in urgent, let tier 1 links being built for 1 week, verify it, then let the 2nd tier started.

This way, you won't waste your resources on building links to broken tier.

So yea, my suggestion is wait for 1 week, verify them and make sure they are live, then build 2nd tier.

My personal 2% of a dollar though.

Thanks for the great information! I was wondering something though. After the week of letting tier 1 links build, and then I start the 2nd tier, am I supposed to continue with posting to tier 1?

Also, do you know how many links should be created within that 1 week? I hear about some people making 10,000 links in a day, but I've been running GSA non-stop over the last couple days and it seems like 140 verified URLs. Is that pretty normal?

It depends on your setting honestly.

It is pretty normal if you can build 10k verified links per day with no filtering. If you are doing no engine restriction nor stats filter then 140 verified links in a few days is tooooooooooo slow.

Try tweaking your setting, pretty certain something is wrong.

Yea i don't see why you should stop it, just let it continuously posting links to new targets, make sure you verify them once in awhile though.

Thanks guys! I do have quite a bit of filters setup. So do you guys think that 140 verified links might be normal then? Maybe for fun I'll setup a campaign with every checked and see how it works.

I'm using 7 threads (for my 10 port proxies) and the proxies do seem to be a little slow. Some of them randomly not working, or other times showing 2000-3000 MS for each test so maybe that has something to do with it too. But I guess a lot of it is the filters I setup.

What I personally do is to create second tier within first day and set verification of tier 1 to 1440 minutes so that I'm not creating back links to dead tiers.

i leave a few days in between to build tiers, as a. its looks natural b. it gives it time to index c. you can check the live links and delete links that webmasters have deleted

You can make all the tiers active at the same time because the tiers will not do anything until they are fed links by the tier above. In fact you should activate them all at once so they can start posting when the higher tiers receive links.

Can GSA SER post links to the same targets? or just to new targets?
I would like to use multiple article sites in my tier 2.

yes, wait for a few days to see links indexded and built on gradually. GSA post to the same targets on added tiers, you are better of adding your own lists to manage new targets

In case you want to start posting later, than just select filter option by the tier selection.Set the tier project to run only after the main project has X amount of links.
On the other hand when you run too many projects at the same time, some of them will get stuck and will not create any links.
As an advice: run only few projects and than start doing the next ones.
