setting up an LLC for an adult tube , good idea?

    i am starting an adult tube site with embedded contents from other porn tube sites, is setting up an LLC a good idea to collect payments from ad revenue .

    I don't see why not. Forming a LLC IS meant to cover your ass from liability!

    LLC doesn't mean protection from liability, a person can still be sued over their actions even if they own one.

    - do i need business license to run a porn site with embedded videos, in California?
    - can i hide that i run a porn site from the IRS or when i set up LLC and only use general terms like internet marketing ...

    Why would you need to set up an LLC for what you're doing?

    What are you needing to protect yourself against?

    An LLC limits your liability, but there are cases where the courts can 'pierce the corporate veil' and find you liable.

    i am not setting up an LLC to protect myself . i just need to separate my finances.

    You don't really need an LLC to cover your traces, just ensure you keep the publicity and personal attachment to the down low.

    Why would the IRS care if you run a porn site? They just want taxes from you. And no you don't need a license to just have a domain+hosting+code from another site. Business licenses are when you are selling a product or a service to consumers.
