setting up a meme image hosting website help?

Hey guys, social media memer here. I'm making content and sharing it on social media but I'm trying to move away from generating the content and memes every day (it's hard to always be funny) and instead just curate the ones that other people are doing, but still credit them and link to their social media accounts so I don't feel like it's stealing. I want to set up a website much like imgur, just a basic image hosting site where the eventual goal is to make it so that people can upload their own photos, so I don't have to be uploading anymore. Eventually trying to build a community site.

I make the basic TOP TEXT image BOTTOM TEXT funny pic style ones. Can someone point me in the right direction on an affordable or even free script or whatever I would need to set up my website like imgur's style? I am no webmaster, so I'm using wordpress to program my site. Is this a bad idea? can I use wordpress to make a site like that? if anyone that has experience or runs a successful image hosting site or niche meme site could help me out that would be much appreciated!

hmm okay I checked that out. It seems that is more like an image uploading page am I correct? Yes that is part of what I'm doing. I will look more into that but it seems kindof like the imageshack style of website. this is my first real website I am trying to make the right way so I am very new to every thing. Maybe the link you posted to me is what I am looking for but I just don't understand how to use it? The website I am trying to build is like a copycat of imgur. best way to do that? thank you for your help
