There are several ways to set yourbranding and online can be difficult with all the competition outthere. This all came to me as I started to set up my next project,PLR subscription site.
The question came to my mind, why would original authors just give this stuff away? Then it came to me,BRANDING!
Now what does this have to do with you?Well how are you branded? (and not like cattle)
Well let me give you some examples ofthe use of PLR, MRR, RR and Give Aways.
First for those that are unaware, let's define what each of these are.
Give Aways ? This is exactly what it says, you have the rights to give away the product whether it be an eBook, video, audio, software etc. You can not however sell theproduct or add it to a membership site for the most part. You also can not edit any of the product to add your name to it.
RR ? My shortening for Resale Rights. With this you can sell the item to an end user for personal use or sell it to another and passing on the resale rights to that person. You can not edit any of the product to add your name to it.
MRR ? Master Resale Rights. With this you can normally do just about anything except change the content. You can pass on give away rights, basic resale rights or even master resale rights.
PLR ? Private Label Rights. With this you can do anything you want with the product, up to and including branding it as one of your own products. Break it up into smaller parts or bundle with other stuff as you see fit.
Now these are just the basics, each individual product will have it's own set of permissions and restrictions so you need to read the license that comes with it. You will see some stuff that is personal use and that is exactly what that license means. It is for your own personal use.
Now what can you do with this stuff? Well that is the good part, you can bundle some of this with your products as an added bonus, you can give it away as a way to build your list, or you can use this as a money maker and bundle yours or other products with them as free bonuses. Use your imagination as there are several things that you can do with these.
Now for the BRANDING part, it alldepends on what your goal is.
PLR - If you are someone that wants to be a ghost writer type then by all means create a product that will enable the end user to brand it with their own name. This puts you in front of them as a source for creating good products and they may come directly to you for product creation. This is where you cash in.
Now if you want to be know as the?GURU? then you give it away as a MMR, RR or Give Away right only. This keeps your name on the product for the end user to see. Creating the product is the only expense that you have and you can consider it advertising. You alone can not get the product out to very many people but if you have hundreds or even thousands of people promoting or giving away your product then that is the power of a FREE distribution network.
If you are an SEO person, write an eBook on that and put a link to you in the product encouraging people to sign up for a FREE report or something like that. Or require them to register to receive an unlock code. Use your imagination.
If you are a software creator, make a good piece of software that requires people to register before it will work.
Create themes and templates with a link back to your site where people can buy premium themes.
Why do I like the BRANDING part of this? Simple, you have the capability to steal from the list of others without hacking into them and getting these people on the lists to opt into your list.
There are so many ways that you can go with this, you will be amazed when you stop and think about the power of PLR products that can be used to create your list.
