As said in the title, I made a forum inside my blog and would like to know if anyone has any tips on getting that forum moving with users. If anyone can provide any tips for populating a forum that would be great.

    Thanks

    Jon

I have seen these work for almost all forums...

    • Conduct contest (Best member of the month, Best Poster of the week, Helpful member of the month, etc)
    • Consider some "Giveaways" for the members

Getting a forum started is tough. Once you have regular members its great and virtually auto pilot aside from moderation.

Use BH tools to populate your forum and pay small amounts for people to make posts and register to begin. Also have many accounts and make good topics then make responses making it appear there are more users than there are. If someone joins and nobody else is there they will disappear so getting it going on your own to start is a must.
