    Hi Guys,

Same as all of you i'm also an internet marketer and 60-70% of my income comes from internet and paypal is the only medium i have to receive payments. 90-95% of my clients are from outside india. I was discussing with my CA about my earnings and as i receive more than 10 Lakh every year he told me that i have to apply for service Tax number. But according to my knowledge as most part of my income is from outside india and i do not qualify for service tax. I tried to find on internet, read many blogs and articles on that. But still not clear.

Can you guys help me with that. Do you all guys who are from india and selling their services in other countries are paying service tax?

    Thanks for your comments
    Palwinder

Income from outside India is exempt from service tax (except in cases where the service is provided in India). That is for sure.

I will have to check if the same is to be considered while calculating the service tax threshold or now.
