SERPs within Ezinearticles

So what decides the ORDER of articles within ezine? It seems to be going by date submitted, even though the search box is using Google. (it seems)

So...ezinearticles just lists everything as they come in, top to bottom? Does it look at back links at all?

So...are you saying (rhetorically) that I could write an article on a high paying keyword like Insurance, and my article will rank #1 (within Ezine) until someone writes another one?

Anyone know how often people find articles within Ezine, or are they usually discovered in the main SERPs?
