Hello

If you start getting back links from pages that rank high do you have to wait for page rank update for it to effect your site's search engine position? or does it happen as soon as it gets indexed and google sees a link to your page?

Thank You

Pagernk has little to nothing to do with actual serps listings (should I say IMO), I have many sites where the two do not correlate at all as far as actual page ranking placement.

I do not believe they go hand in hand. I can improve my ranking and still not budge my pagernk... I know others with high PR and yet their rankings suck.

I think links from 'hub' sites in your category are more valuable than links from high PR sites that don't relate or have minimum popularity.

correct PR have nothing to do with the placement on the serps ... it's worthless the PR in term of the traffic , since january I think I checked more than 300 sites pr found them on index google after my keywords ... some of them pr4-pr5 lol and mine is pr0 lol ...

I am currently ranking on page 1, #6 for a keyphrase. That is completely based on some of the things I've learned here and have implemented. But... if you were to check my PR, it's zero. As Kainehabe said, one has little to do with the other. I do expect my PR to go up at the next G upgrade, I'll just keep building links in the meantime.
