So for 2 keywords Serpbook shows I'm in top 10, but when I Google it under different tld's, it's on the 6th page. Same story when others Google it.

I though it was some weird Google dance, but it has been like this for a week. Serpbook insists I'm up there. Although Serpbook isn't always accurate, it gets the range right.

Did I finally discover why a lot of you find Serpbook shit or am I missing something?

It is not just you. Am also witnessing the same issue. This is the first time I will noticed serpbook rank differs from others.
I have a site ranking for 6 position, 50 position, etc. But Serpbook is showing -----

The ranking is so so inaccurate and I have resolved in using serplab/serps.com free and it is almost the same when I check manually.

I hope the fix the bug or whatever it is that is giving false information.

It's called Penguin being tested... This is so easy to figure out, think about it.

SERPbook uses a wide array of proxies to test ranks, Penguin being TESTED means that it's only rolled out on certain DC's. SERPbook runs its proxies to test for rankings, it depends on which DC is viewed.

Clearly SERPbook has proxies on the pre-Penguin algo for your site, and it can't decide whether the rank drop is real.

Once Penguin rolls out fully, your site will sadly stick to page 6.

This has been an issue for me a couple of months now and finally moved to serplab.

One big thing people often overlook when comparing against software rankings is geo-location. What settings do you have on your Serpbook account? If you have it set to a national level, it's possible that you're seeing results for your city, where they override that to set it to a country level. Also, if you're spot-checking and not using an incognito window, that'll use personalization.

As someone who is on the software side of the fence, what we do to help people feel more at ease is to actually cache the raw html from Google, so at least then you can see what it looks like vs just seeing a number on a page.

I'm using SerpBook to track several local keywords as well a small number of international keywords, but I've noticed a few of the local keywords fluctuating wildly despite the actual rankings remaining the same. It's nothing that concerns me too much as the other rankings are accurate.

Has this been fixed? I swapped away from serpbook a while back but I miss the look and feel of the site.
