So I use a few different trackers. SerpFox, Serpbook, Rankwatch and so on. I'm wondering why they are all so different with their results? Shouldn't they all be running with no Google history? I know a lot of people use SerpBook here and think it's good. But if I use Google US in Incognito window I search my keyword and see it's at 72 in Google, yet Serbook shows that it's not ranking at all. Could someone help me understand why?

You're right, they all seem to have their flaws. With that in mind I use them as a loose metric and pay closer attention to traffic and referrals.

Ya, they are not all perfect but keep in mind that there could be a variety of things that come into play with the SERP ranking. Personalization can happen even when incognito'd.

There are tons of more factors put into place, and they don't check at the same time as you or other rank trackers do.

    You've having problems with Serpfox?

Don't get me wrong, Serpfox isn't accurate 100% of the time. But compared to Serpbook (which is a disaster) its much much better.

I only track about 80 keywords but Serpbook would consistently get about half of them wrong.

I'm actually in the process of build a large rank tracking tool. What are you looking for? Just more accurate results? Maybe results per google country searches? Give me ideas, I'll do it.

Yeah, I understand there are different factors and I don't expect them to all give the exact same results, but when SerpFox tells me my keywords are in the top 70 and then even days after SerpBook (the one I am paying for) shows nothing, it sucks lol

RankWatch is saying their not ranking either, but searching myself in Google I can see they are at least in the top 100 and stuff.

I advise you tryout Advance Web Ranking Cloud - they've been consistent for me and the results are the same with what I get from AuthorityLabs and Positionly. I just ended up with Advance Web Ranking Cloud as they're the cheapest among the three with a lot of great features included that AuthorityLabs and Positionly does no include in their cheapest plan.
