I have whitehat site, quality content, lots of likes, shares, pins, tweets, natural links - people like the site:p
It was ranking #3 for main KW.

Couple days ago getclicky analitycs shows huge traffic from facebook, and after this website moved from #3 to #8, sometimes dancing, but mostly #8.

20% of this 'strange' facebook traffic shows as 'advertising'. Seems like one of competition trying to penalize me?

Any ideas? What i can do about it?

    UPDATE:
Maybe it's just on of the niche 'authorities' made post mentioning my site? but why advertising it? I am trying to find where exactly this traffic coming from - getclicky just shows facebook.com - not full url. Any way i can find out?

Made some more analize and 30% of all 'strange' facebook vistiors stayed around 30 seconds, while with google traffic 90% stayed for 3+ minutes, the only thing i can thing of that it's worsened my bounce rate? Google track through google chrome...

Hard to say with the information you have given.

Only thing that comes to mind is to look at the raw logs on your server (such as AWSTATS and other analytic tools in your cpanel), and see if there is any referrer and or pattern.
Dont post these logs here though.

I am just guessing but it sounds like someone is sending fake referrer traffic increasing your bounce rate and google ppenalizing you because of it.

Maybe someone here else might have more ideas?

Very plausible... OR it might a coincidence and a penalty for something else.
