SERP did not change after a blast of 300 web2.0. Low competition. What does that mean?

This question maybe too complex or too hard for most people.
Here's the story so you guys can get the big picture. I use 300 Manual Contextual backlinks on all of my new sites. Every time I do this, my sites would go to page 3, or 2, or 1. It depends on the competition.
A mixture of social bookmarks, free blogs/websites, pdf, video sites and doc sites.

Anyway, I use the same list on a couple of old blogs of mine that are sitting in page 2. I have 30 blogs that are sitting in page 2. I figured that if I do this, I will see a climb in the google serps.
I did it on 30 blogs. After 1 month, I checked back and nothing happened. I've been checking for a couple of days now and nothing. These are low competition keywords also. The anchor text are very diversified so it isn't that. Wherever these 30 blogs were sitting last month, they are still in the exact same position after 1 month. I checked their backlinks and they all have 200+ new backlinks.

So something prevented these blogs from climbing serps. It is like none of my work did anything. I expected something like a +5 at least or page 1 but nothing. I got nothing.

So can anyone tell me what is going on? I want to know what kind of algorithm in g00 gle that I triggered. I don't want to do work that is just going to get wasted so can anyone explain this to me. I am desperate.

I feel you and am knowing that behaviour. Don't forget the velocity right now and keep on building diversified. A few weeks more and the site will go upwards for sure

My velocity when I built the links were 50 per day for each site and that was 1 month ago. I am most likely not going to build links again on these sites unless I figure out what is happening.
It is much more profitable to create new sites than do work while praying that I may get lucky.

You should read up on googles spam patent. Sometimes Google will do random things to your site after building links and then the real results will happen weeks later.

Sometimes the site will disappear, shoot up in the rankings or even do nothing at times. Just be patient and keep doing what you're doing. Eventually your site will get to where it needs to be.
