It´s all about latency.

Imagine cars communicating with each other trough 5G due to the small latency.

There are so many more examples of the use cases for small latency. There are so much possibilities

IMO, there's not going to be much of a difference for home users.
There are/is going to be advancements in other fields using this technology, such as in the medical field.

Not sure why they are trying to push it to regular users though...if 4g isn't fast enough for somebody, as a typical user, then I don't know what to say.

For Home users, it's good enough. What about Internet-dependent business. E.g. Trading companies, Call Centres, etc

Even if faster speeds don't directly affect you then will 100% indirectly. Think of all the services, products and tech that can be improved with faster and more quantities of data.

I recently got a nice new connection. Says 500 Mbps

When I try to download a file the write speed on my Old HDD is not fast enough LOL and I get 100% disk write usage. Everything else starts running/opening slowly.

IF the situation is like back in good old days, Internet revolution , than is different story, as back than access to Internet is not say available to home user individual like now.
Only teacher, researchers, in Military can access it communicate
than Tech Revolution come, available to the public

5g is not only about your browsing speed, there are areas where 5g is required, we are almost in the time where everything will be connected (IoT) and the fastest internet speed would be needed. 4g won't be sufficient

I think with the digitalization, Cryptology, AI Bots and data in the Cloud, we need faster and stable internet... 5G brings also more security and encryption. 4G is to slow for data encryption and deencryption.

I only see is more on Medical, Auto car usage benefits
