i understand what you're saying about not wanting to give something away.
however, the sales process online is in some ways similar to offline sales.

You cannot ask a girl to marry you the first time you meet (online, this is equal to a website visitor landing on your webpage the first time). You need to try and aim for getting the girl's phone number or email (online, it is like asking for their name and email address so you can contact them again)

. It may take many contacts/email follow-ups before they buy. And some people will just NOT buy your product, no matter what. However, if you promote a competitor's product to them, they might buy through your affiliate link

in your email follow up messages.
anyways, here's my 2 cents worth
1) People are probably looking for information online , i.e. your content or product.
2) They might be willing to pay for it, but maybe not if they were meeting you the first time or landed on your website the first time.
3) Therefore, you might still need to get their contact information for follow uping so you may still need to "give" something away in exchange for their email address and name.
4) You then follow up using email messages to build trust and credibility or channel them to your blog or website and keep doing this until they unsubscribe or buy.
5) Continue to cross sell, upsell and even do JVs with others.
This is what I understand to be the typical or conventional sales funnel model.
What do you think?
I guess there could be a black hat model where you could do things a little differently, but still make some money.
Maybe the blackhat experts can offer some suggestions on this cos I'm a noob
Cheerio :rain: :chairshot :flame:
P.S. Would you want to share the niche that you're hoping to promote to?
