I'm looking to set up about 10 drop shipping sites of unrelated products.

From SEO standpoint, does it matter if they are all hosted on same webhosting package and therefore, have the same IP? Or should I buy separate IPs for each domain?

If the IP is shared, then I don't see any problem in this case as many people have their websites stored in a shared hosting plan. If you're talking about a dedicated IP, then I don't know.

It is safer to use unique ip for each of your site. Once I had 12 sites hosted on a dedicated server. One got penalized and de indexed. Within a few weeks, all the rest got penalized. Never trust Google.

10 is way too many to have on the same IP. Play it safe and go with unique for each. 2 per hosting tops. Just in case.

If you have a certain relationship with your hosting provider, it would be able to hook up a sort of deal for you. C class/ or different location for your web hosting account.

People will debate on if it's ok or not, at the end of the day we know that unique ip/host will be either as good or better, so if it's in your budget go for it.

Great answers guys! Really appreciate the feedback.

I'll go with separate IPs for each one then. I'm looking at various VPS webhosting packages from Inmotion and several other companies, comparing prices and whatnot. Some of the companies offer multiple IPs within the initial package, then you can add addition unique IPs for set amount per year. I'll probably go with something like that.

The most difficult part I'm finding is settling on 10 different niches. I have settled on three so far. Still doing research on the others. Thanks again.

OP, I suggest that those domains should have unique IPs.
