Seospyglass and Scareware

Just installed SEO Spyglass and immediately caught a Scareware (defender.exe). See http://deletemalware.blogspot.com/2011/05/how-to-remove-malware-protection.html for details.

I'm wondering whether it is a coincidence or a feature of the free version of Seospyglass?

Considering the fact that my PC didn't see a virus/worm/trojan since about 2007 I tend to believe the later.

I've installed mine about a month ago and don't have any issues.
