In terms of SEO Only, would you think it would be smarter to host my site on Blogger, or should i go with hostgator ?

    I only care for rankings.
Wondering if blogger hosting, outranks hostgator hosting.

Your input will be appreciated ...

Might want to get some facts straight first...hostgator is just a hosting provider, it depends entirely what you PUT there.... self-hosted wordpress is always the way to go imo, though. blogger might just ban you ass one day and boom there goes your business.

Go with host gator you don't want to host on blogger unless it is a backlink.

blogger blog have high spider activity but that not ranked higher than own domain blog.

There is pros and cons with both like you can;t use wordpress plugins with blogger.

If you will ask me i will go with own wordpress blog no matter which hosting that is :)

You don't own anything you put on blogger so as previous poster said they can remove you anytime for any reason. You upload a site to hostgator, you have full control over the property not hostgator, they're just renting space for you to host the site. Understand the difference?

Where you host your site does not determine your rankings, on page seo and off page seo does that.

Exactly right. Quit worrying about where you host it, it's not a big issue.
