    Hey guys,

I was thinking of all these hundreds of SEO services we have on BHW and why is it that so many "successful" members are offering them, why not keep them secret and use yourself if they really are that "quality" or "guaranteed".

This whole thing, is it because they don't do SEO themselves (because it's not profitable) or just because they focus on Product development (for some other reason). Coz I don't really get it, if it was that "guaranteed in rankings" why not just make few hundred sites and retire.

Maybe its not worth it to have all these sites up and running, but more profitable to do product development and such?

When I see the terms "SEO" and "guaranteed" in the same sentence I get insta-suspicious. I've been doing SEO for the last 7-8 years and I've never felt I can guarantee the results 100%. I can estimate the results based on previous experience but the wildcard is always present. That's the nature of SEO. You can't see the algo, you can only predict it's behavior.
What works today will change in a month, or maybe tomorrow. You just have to test and test, and it's getting less and less profitable on the long run for you as a service provider with every update G makes.

Sure some services on BHW are safer than others but, if you don't know what you're doing or what exactly you get, I'd avoid getting them.

IMHO you must know SEO to properly acquire/outsource punctual services (off-page). If you buy an as-is SEO service AND if the service is provided as advertised and your site drops ranks, it's on you, the buyer. The seller has no liability in this issue, unless he provided you with something else than advertised, which rarely happens with reputable members BST threads.
