Hello everyone and pardon for the Clickbait title, but for real I got sick of these SEO tutorial tip blogs, and so-called experts of the field…
Let's get into the subject.
About two months ago I start new website (video related site "non-adult") as a hobby I did not intended to give too much attention to SEO (opposite what I usually do)..
I created that site because contents I like to post on my TW account, and these contest go users attention (e.g they start share retweet it ),
So after my account kind grow up I decide to put my contents on my own domain and share it into my account.
And From time to time some of these posts get hundreds of clicks and users visit my website and stay for long time (since it's video contents).
Preparing that website toke from me two day, I even setup script (on it VPS) to upload compress video and offer it directly on my website with HTML5 player.
At first, G didn't index it well, but G bots (and others) were visiting it like crazy, specially these popular posts.
About a month ago, G started indexing these popular posts on it SERP video results (not first or for popular KW).
And now almost two months passed, it takes G about 24 hours to index it in videos SERP, which I don't considered it bad, (compare to my other disastrous experience using copied contents).
Now G start to rank it in some related KW (TV shows I talk about), since these shows are considered new and my contents like that, I expect it will rank higher in the future.
I know this thread may look too exaggeration, but believe me this is real, and not first time I notice it,
Talking about myself, I was person who uses pure B-H SEO always (pure KW targeting and BLs only ),
But I had to change my strategy and try to focus on getting better users first, and build brand name first to my website (so ppl search for it in SERP) to get G bots attention and increase it authority.
You may all wounder why G are doing all this (checking for website credibility first), G nightmare (and ever other search engines) is having bad website (hacking, selling illegal stuff etc.) get ranked first in the SERP.
And adding to that, they are making it harder for new website to get rid of people who rushing result (either they are BH themselves or using others services ), which means if someone bought a SEO packages and e.g. two months passed without seeing any results or his ranks dropped when more, he immediately gets mad at the guy who sold him that services, this will turn bad for both of them.
BTW from website branding I already did try using bots to search and click on my website brand name in the SERP, and it gives me negative result (G de-indexed that site).
Fact that everyone should already know, that G monitors all it users base activity, so they have high success rate knowing who is bots (clicking on the SERP), and who's legit users trying to reach his favorite blog (it's like public voting for websites).
Sure B-Ls still important but they most comes from legit site that had some authority scores (I think PR now is from the past).
