    Hi guys

I am interested in purchasing SEO Spyglass and was wondering if anyone is currently using it and would recommend it, or suggest a better alternative that is out there. It seems like a very, very useful tool.

    Cheers.

I have the whole suite, and I love it, I use spyglass and rank tracker pretty much everyday. The reports are useless (unless you get the ultra-expensive enterprise version and try to sell them), but the stats is gives you are fantastic and very detailed.
I believe they have (or had) a free trial?

If you know why you need it, then I highly recommend it ;)

Thanks guys, but this is exactly what I'm trying to figure out.

I like the idea of the reports due to the fact that I'd like to be able to sell my SEO services properly and the reports would add some clarity to clients who aren't sure as to what they're actually getting and aren't sure whether or not to part cash for the service. However $250 seems a lot just for the ability to create reports.

But the $100 version is teasing me. It's mainly because I like to support genuinely great pieces of software. I've been using the trial or free version today and it looks excellent hence why I feel that it'd be great to purchase it, especially as they make a *gulp* Mac version, which not many companies who create this kind of software do.

I am what I like to call an ethical black hatter :p I buy if I'm happy with the product, because I think they deserve it. But until I get some more feedback I'll stick with the free version.

It's a great piece of software. There's going to be a paid crack out in about 2 weeks so I'll be using the whole suite then, but I have fiddled around with seospyglass and rank tracker before and they're EXCELLENT software. They're a little pricey though.

I just started testing a crack of SEO Recon and frankly at the moment I'm much more impressed with it than than with SeoSpyglass. The software costs $500 a month though (talk about steep) and is butt ugly but this is what I call industrial strength seo research.

SEO Spyglass and SEO Power Suite is pretty meh although someone mentioned the enterprise report were OK, they really are just "OK".

If you want to keep track on a lot of domains an competitors and what not its "OK".

It's not the best but if you're not going to spend the money on this and look for a crack, then you can't afford the best.

How does it compare to Internet Business Promoter? Have you tried that?

I have use IBP for a long time (years) and it works really well. It is as fast as you are in doing your backlinks. LOL. Their guarantee is top 10 on google if you follow their instructions and 90 days after the backlinks are completed. The nice thing is the backlinks are long term backlinks so you have less bouncing when you reach top and there is less maintenance needed to stay there but you must always do SOMETHING to stay there as the internet is a competitive world. Good luck.

Might I remind everyone that NO tool, individual or company can guarantee top 10 listings on Google.

That said. I used IBP back in the day just to throw out client reports :)

Enterprise SEO Power Suite has somewhat decent reporting.

I have found that SEO Spyglass brings back far more data than SEO Elite....however, SEO Spyglass is a serious time lag and memory hog for running backlink reports on any sites over 4-5k backlinks. I asked the developers and their remedy was simply run separate link reports for those 'bigger' domains (eg; yahoo backlinks, google backlinks) etc...pain in the arse, but good data. I'll be testing it against IBP later next week.

I have both IBP and Spyglass.

Spyglass is much faster and more thorough if your trying to harvest a few thousand of your competitors backlinks.

I get the most out of spyglass by searching all my competitors sites using
    Code:
    alltop.com
    Code:
    technorati.com

    Thanks for the tip man...
I'm looking at Spyglass now, where do you add alltop.com and technorati.com to the SE's to yank BL's from?
