My brother's friend is starting his own real estate firm. They want me to make their website. I want to give them a cheap price for the website and propose a package that they pay me monthly that includes:

    SEO
-Mainly long tail local keywords since "real estate" is so competitive

    Social Media Management
-Making all their pages (Facebook, Twitter, Linked In, Google+, etc)
-Designing all the backgrounds/header images for all these pages
    -Getting fans/followers/connections
    -Posting updates (statuses/tweets/etc) around 4-6 a week

    Reputation Management

-Create pages for the firm on Google Places, Yelp, Yahoo Local, City Search, Merchant Circle, Insider Pages, Angie's List
-Incorporate a system (maybe like the 7878 method) or some type of incentive to get clients to leave positive reviews.

    Website Maintenance
-Make any changes they want to make
-Add any content they want to add
-Fix any problems if they arise

    My questions:

1 - Is it a good idea to incorporate this all into one monthly package?
2 - Can you think of any other monthly services to add to the list that I can offer them? (Tech, Internet related)
3 - What would you personally charge on average monthly for the above?

Yes definitely. But as your bro frd just started his firm, cash flow might be a huge concern. I believe the whole package you listed above cost a few grands at least. Might be a turn off for him. Secondly since you are his frd bro, he might be thinking of getting "special" pricing from you. So it is kinda hard to charge him high as in the market rate. So I think it is the best to get the basic like web design 1st. Make an impressive web look for him and then slowly educate him the value of social marketing that can bring him and his biz to the next level.

see no.1 answer. Slow is fast, Less is More.

3 - What would you personally charge on average monthly for the above?
Gather your local area service providers pricing and cal the offer you make to your bro frd. If this is your 1st service, do it right at 1st and make it as a future portfolio. See far, not current.

    Best of luck pal!

Thanks for the response. You really think these services would be at least a grand? I was thinking $400-$500.

    Social Media
To create the social media pages and their images would take me half a day. I would configure the wordpress site so that when I write a post, it automatically sends to Facebook, Twitter, Linked in, etc. I would spend 1 hour a week writing a weeks worth of updates and just have them scheduled to be published every day.

    Rep Management
To create all the pages would take me a day. Then after I incorporate the system, all the content would be generated from customers/clients.

    Website Maintenance
Doubt this would take up much of my time

    SEO
This is the service that's worth the most. However I would be targeting local long tail easy keywords. One time optimization of the website, and then outsource article writing and link spreading.

In the end I see it as a 4 hour a week job. 16 hours a month. About $30 an hour. Does this all sound accurate?

I dont know your area bro. But here in Singapore, asia, the above mentioned package alone cost around a few grands in my place. The lowest I gathered last time was around S$2k(USD1.6) per mth. But again, you need to find out what are the market rates offer from the service providers in your area. Do not let your bro's frd think you are over charging him.

It's probably a bit late for you... but Sociota can be a good add on on social media management.
