    Hey,

I have an offline client that want me to SEO his website and rank him for low competition keywords. I can do that easily. I am gonna do Onsite and Offsite SEO.

    1. I never worked with offline client and I was wondering how much SEO company out there charge for such work? (Approx)

    2. Should I ask Pay per Hour or Static amount for the overall service?

The service will be done over a period of 2 months.

    Thanks guys!

Think about what it is worth , then double it .. no kidding, seriously.

If you say it with conviction they will purchase it ... now when they say
you are too expensive you say ... what would you like to take out
LOL .. that is how it's done

Offer a few bucks over what you think its worth. Your bound to hit roadblocks ect.. Client will always want changes.. just dont get yourself stuck in a place where your working for 6 bucks an hour

Yeah double it works too. Probably a better tactic. Just be sure your not working for nothing

    12$/hour seems a good rate.

Should I ask Pay per Hour or Static amount for the overall service?

It depends on the onsite or off site optimization the client needs. If it's on site than take it project basis from 300$-500$)
And if the client wants off site too than you can have per link basis.
May be depending on PR of the page and the quality of the link you provide.
I am thinking to raise my charges sooner!! hehee

If you can provide the client with permanent high PR links in pages less than 30 outgoing links than you can charge lets say PR1=3$,PR2=5$,PR3=7$......
    Likewise!

I see. It's a very small company so I am not so sure what I should ask...

I told him 1200$ at first, for the whole thing. In my opinion, it was resonable price.

What exactly are you offering him? And what do you intend to do to reach his goal?

me personally, i set a static price for small clients - up to 200 ?, so that i can make most of them
bigger projects are charged usually per hours spent, but some clients agree on a static price

my charge is 16? / hour, but sometimes i agree to help smaller new companies for less - if they are satisfied and their business flourishes they usually call me and i get long-time clients. i have been working for one guy for a 3rd year now

I normally check the competition fully then check the posssible ROI for the client then go from there.

No way would i charge $12 a hour though :S In a hour I can do the whole site fire some links at it and have it top 10ed within the month on low competition stuff.

Its hard to give you a good example of what I would charge. Mainly I base it on how many visitors they should get from it.

10k hits a month - 1k setup then 10% off that a month to keep the ranking. something like that.

Either way my clients are always getting a lot more out of it than the price payed.

Do a monthly ongoing payments & do all the seo thru a domain you control & just 301 it at his domain. He dosn't pay, you switch off the 301 & his site drops like a rock out of the serps. That way you always get payed.
