Hi guys, so I started this thread hoping to get an answer to this question I keep asking: if I have a site, with a country tld, in a language different than English...is there any SEO service here on BHW that would be able to help its ranking in SERPS?

To give you more details, the site is a small online shop for cell phone parts and sells only to the visitors from that specific country...I just wanna bring it on the first page for some specific keywords. I've watched many threads in the buy/sell section, with various SEO services, asked some questions to the OPs, but no definite answers...so if someone offers a service that might benefit that site, please let me know.

well , you will need to take care of the on site SEO , that is for sure .
and for the backlinking , social bookmarking , RSS feeds , web 2 and all that , I dont think it will matter because a backlink is a backlink . a squidoo or a hubpages linking back to your site in English or any other language is the same .
    just my thoughts :)

    What language is it?

I guess it just depends if the SEO service provider is able to write your keyword in english or not.

I would disagree with your assertion that a link is a link.

Not all links are created equal and Gugle certainly does not translate keywords from one language to the next!

So we will have relevancy issues here if the linking languages are different, as they are treated as different words, even though they have the same meaning.

    Best stick to one language.

    Greetings,

    Dave

hmmm it is weird , because for instance Senuke web 2 profile creation has websites on arabic , frensh , german ! and I always used them for my websites wich are in English and I never had a problem .
I undrestand that a niche backlink or a language backlink is always better , but it doesnt mean that a backlink from another niche/language will not have its effect.
Just speaking out of my experiences :)

The onsite SEO has been taken care of, every product has its own page etc. All it's needed is to get some relevant backlinks so that the site's products get pushed up in Google results...it's easy with an English site, just get an Xrumer blast or a network of sites linked to it or some other method (you all know them)...but I don't know if those could be applied here.

I come from a land downunder
I'm finding that links from the same TLD are most important.

I have a site with numerous #1's on G.com but am having a very hard time to get even to page 1 on G.com.au for the same searches

So far all I've done on it is a few SB blasts but there just ain't too many .com.au on topic auto approve d0 f0llow blogs out there.

So what if you have a XXX.org or XXX.net, does that mean I would have to
have more backlinks from .orgs or .nets?

I have orgs and nets that rank well in the US or UK, but only because of
relevant anchor text links and from a variety of places and only
because I consciously chose either British spelling or US English spelling!

I'm not saying that having links from say an english site to a french one is
worth nil, I'm just saying that relevant anchor text links in the right language
    will get you better results.

One particular site I own shows up in Yahoo site site explorer as only having
only 80 odd backlinks (though I know it has 200+), but some pages outrank
sites with 3000+ links in a moderately competitive niche.

I have good internal site structure and the site is based on good keyword
research, which if you don't get right will hurt you in the long run, but as
you all know this is not an exact science.

    @OP

    So what country is it?

I have come to realise that the english speaking internet world is highly
competitive in terms of SEO. But if you went to another country, we the
one eyed men could be king amongst the blind - figuratively speaking.

You just have the issue of figuring out the local internet ecosystem and
applying your knowledge with the equivalent resources that you can find.

I was recently looking for french article directories and could only find a
handful, it was a real challenge as I don't speak french. I think I might
    leave that one alone.

    Regards,
    Dave
