I think it's time management thought about getting rid of signature links for all posters in any SEO sales thread. I will state some of my valid reasons and I am sure some of you will not like it and those with an open mind will see the merit in the proposal:

1 - Take a look at any sales thread and you would see many members rushing in to ask complete nonsense questions, all because the signature link would appear. Some are so blatant and ask ridiculous questions like "any reviews" "what is the turnaround time" "is it good for a new site" etc. It robs the thread creator of needed sales as the signature links create un-needed distractions.

2 - If this is implemented, Seo sales thread would reflect postings from genuine interested buyers and not post count seekers. You can still have your fancy signature show up, but not on any SEO selling thread.

I think this would benefit the hard working SEO providers, and we'll have less distraction from "fluffy" posters. What do you think?

You can get an "infraction" for hijacking the thread something like that, happened to me before

Sometimes, they're valid questions though although it makes sense what you're saying. It's been an issue people considered already.

Thrust moderators probably have bigger issues to watch out for. It would be fair for everyone, including the sales thread creator.

I think this is a very fair and reasonable suggestion - I've had similar thoughts.

there is already an option to make your sig visible or not when you post..

Maybe, it getting rid of the sig in the BST thread means alot of job for
the developers of the BHW, the mods can just implement the rule in
taking off the sig voluntarily when posting in BST threads..

Well, it's nice proposal, but i'm not quite agree with you. Those who selling sigs actually don't post such useless post as you mentiond (or maybe I didn't noticed) cause as usual they are donors, vips and they probably know that can be flagged as spam or even banned.
Basically i see such posts from newbies, but they don't selling sigs) Personally, I don't care if someone selling his sig, we all need money.

Asking for TAT, Review and Good for new website is the right of every buyer and you have to answer them which is called Online Support not a useless question. Also you wanna say to disable signature is Marketplace?

Well on a positive note it does help promote competition which isn't a terrible thing, as it helps increase the quality of all services.

That deki guy is the worst for this.

Any mass link/indexing/Tier 2-3 service, he always comes in with something like "how many links do you send per tier?" while dropping his own signature for essentially the same service.

It's so fucking blatant. If anything, it shows how shit his service must be if he has to resort to that.

Yes, I totally agree with this. I have seen many people do that, I can even remember their names saying " Good luck with your sales " etc. That's complete bullshit.

The last time I checked the rules, asking for reviews is against forum policy unless it's offered in the sales thread. If you take a closer look, you can spot the obvious "fluffy" questions designed to increase post count and drop signature. The signatures would still show up in other sections of the forum, but not the SEO market place. It's all about fairness to the sales thread creator.

I agree 100%. Post this in the suggestions section.

You see the same clowns post "Wow...yayyyy congrats on your approval and good luck with sales" in EVERY freaking thread...if you REALLY want to congratulate someone on their "approval" then shoot them a PM.

I GUARANTEE if sigs were turned off in the sales thread all these "super swell nice people" would stop being so "nice" ;)

I 100% concur with you as well OP. Having started several BST's I can for a fact say that from personal experience there are dozens of members who make posts on sales threads for the sole purpose of self promotion.

There was actually just a member here the other day that I witnessed go through the entire marketplace and post the same exact message across the top 20 BST's that were stickies lol.
