Hello today,

is it relative easy to rank in bing today?
Or get listed on bing places to get clients worldwide? (is that free of cost or are Bing ads needed?)

Some here have experience with seo ranking their service website or affiliate website in bing?
Does it matter if you doing content curation or having an emd domain to get ranking in bing?
Some marketing studies said that websites have better convertion rates on cold traffic with bing.
Do I need separate sitemap (wordpress) especial for bing or API to get indexed fast?

Does bing has an area like google news where everyone can get his site approved?
So many new things and challenges today my brain is sometimes not fast enough to get it....this is why these thoughts are coming up in my mind today.

What is your experience today with seo in bing?

Bing is hit or miss. We all complain about G, but Bing is even worse; You have no idea when your website will be removed, but it will be.

why should it be that B will remove my site?
provocative what a nickname...jjjjj but I like it.

Is more easy but the chance of you get deindexed is big, my website was indexed, deindexed, indexed and deindexed again and my website is fully whitehat

bing is a russian roullete

oh! Now I see on MOZ forum posts from 2022, many people there who got removed their site from bing, holy shit, what happens with bing?
The big wef member is now ".cleaning the internet" or something?
cleaning the internet is their next plan but so often, they not telling clear words about that what it means ..

no opportunities to google whats happening with all the creative tech folks today, no new creation of a good search engine?

ok opportunities are there: tiktok, insta, fb, twitter...linkedin...to get found and get traffic.

Is Yahoo an alternative for seo?

Is Yahoo an alternative for seo?
yahoo depends on bing, if you are deindexed from bing you will suffer the same on yahoo, it is better to invest in google and social networks building a solid base than to fight with something that can take you out of the game for no reason

Bing uses the same general principles for its ranking algorithm that other search engines use, such as relevancy, authority, and other factors. SEO ranking in Bing is not necessarily an easier process than SEO ranking in other search engines.

My sites have never been de-indexed by bing but agree at times it's "hit or miss". I could never really rank particularly well on Bing... don't know why.
Overall, the same rules apply as to google but bing prefers exact match anchors so you have to find a right balance there so you could benefit from bing and google at the same time.

As for the site map, all use the same protocol so you only need 1 sitemap for google and bing (or even yandex if you want).

Personal experience : Low quality websites that i outrank in Google search, always outrank me on Bing. bing tend to care less about spammy backlinks profil.

Does bing has an area like google news where everyone can get his site approved?
Bing has its Google news equivalent but it's not for everyone. Your site has to be news site to be approved/accepted.

what I have reading so far today bing has some ridiculous rules there.

-not using any spammy schemes, include building pbn and backlinks
- modify other people content slightly with your own value is scraping (is not content curation for bing)
- when other sites stealing your content
- when your robots txt file is not setup properly for bing (it's different than for google)
- not using any cache plugins, bad coded plugins, maybe bad coded themes....
- not using any analytics code on your site

holy shit what cms to use to hold on the high bing standards? clean plugins and themes wordpress will fail there....
maybe using only static html sites to rank in google and your different content wordpress site (as example) on google ?
or using cms systems who not needs plugins or only with API hooks instead of installing plugins ? (only the expensive cms big sites use have this festure)
I not know how to run a wordpress sites with api hooks instead of plugins.

Bing has such high standards that most free cms systems can not stand with.

holy moly.....

I not know a free cms system who has clean perfect code and their themes and plugins (moduloes) are clean too
Here some of the bing webmaster guidelines, read it it sounds like they not allow content curation the right way (!)

What is your experience with content curation and seo ranking in bing ?
  • Cloaking: Cloaking is the practice of showing one version of a webpage to a search crawler like Bingbot and another to regular visitors. Showing users different content than what the crawlers see may be seen as a spam tactic and could be detrimental to your website's rankings, leading your site to be de-listed from the Bing index. Websites should be extremely cautious about responding differently to crawlers as opposed to regular visitors and should not use cloaking as a principle.

  • Link Schemes, Link Buying, Link Spamming: While link schemes may succeed in increasing the number of links pointing to your website, they will fail to bring quality links to your site, netting your site no positive gains. Manipulating inbound links to artificially inflate the number of links pointing to a website can lead to your site being delisted from the Bing index.

  • Social media schemes: Social media schemes are similar to link farms in that they seek to artificially exploit a network effect to game Bing’s algorithm. The reality is that social media schemes are easy to see in action, and the website’s value is deprecated. One such example is auto follow. Auto follows encourage follower growth on social sites such as Twitter, and work by automatically following anyone who follows you. Over time this creates a scenario where the number of followers you have is more or less the same as the number of people following you. This does not indicate you have a strong influence. Following few people while having a high follower count would indicate a stronger influential voice.

  • Duplicate content: Duplicating content across multiple URLs can lead to Bing losing trust in some of those URLs over time. This issue should be managed by fixing the root cause of the problem. The rel=canonical element can also be used but should be considered a secondary solution to fixing the core problem. If excessive parameterization is causing the duplicate content issue, we encourage you to use the URL Inspection tool.

  • Scraped Content: Scraping or copying content from other more reputable websites may not add value to your users and may be considered copyright infringement. Instead of republishing content from other sites without adding any original content or value, you should create original content differentiating your website. Slightly modifying and republishing content from other websites also constitutes scraping.

  • Keyword Stuffing OR loading pages with irrelevant keywords: When creating content, make sure to create your content for real users and readers, not to entice search engines to rank your content better. Stuffing your content with specific keywords with the sole intent of artificially inflating the probability of ranking for particular search terms is in violation of our guidelines. It can lead to demotion or even delisting your website from our search results.

  • Automatically generated content: Machine-generated content is information that is generated by an automated computer process, application, or other mechanisms without any active intervention of a human. Content like this is considered malicious and usually contains garbage text only created to garnish a higher ranking. This type of content will result in penalties.

  • Affiliate programs without adding sufficient value: Websites that link products from other websites (such as Amazon, eBay, etc.) but pretend that they are an official retailer or in affiliation with those sites are called Thin Affiliation sites, and they add little to no incremental value (like extra reviews, search functionality, Editor’s Choice, etc.). and are only intended to take credit for other content. It can lead to demotion or even delisting your website from our search results.

  • Malicious behavior: When creating content and managing your site, make sure to not participate in phishing or installing viruses, trojans, or other badware by verifying your content, maintaining your Content Management System, keeping your operating system up to date, and limiting access to who can publish on your site. Malicious behavior can lead to demotion or even delisting your website from our search results.

  • Misleading structured data markup: Site with markups must be accurate and representative of the page that the tags are on. Sites must not have markup which is irrelevant to the page and is inaccurate or misleading.

Have happy sunday people !

be careful with using fake authors on your site (images) my experience with facebook;

I open an personal profile on FB with my first and middle name- no problem then I uploa dan image myself I mad eth eimage littl ebit looking like comic sketch.

Then whammmm! FB bans me for 5 days.
I send a ticket to them with my real address and real photo (not image sketch) then after 3 days they lift the ban.

So with this in mind, creating fake authors for your site, design the persons image so that it looks real a little blurry background maybe..exit all meta data, so when FB can detect this then it will be easy fo rthe search engines isn't it?

I can not give professional advise here I be not a hacker nor a professional tech nerd in this.
