What do you usually include in your SEO proposal for your clients? Do you start with a template? or is it something tailor-made? What software do you use? Thanks.

In simple terms your proposal is to tell the client what you will do for them. Include your scope of work and outline the goals and targets of your strategy.

You should included what will be the success point (first page of Google, or first 3 spots, etc.) and what will happen after you achieve that target.

Be clear and don't use terms that will confuse your prospect.

I always send a SEO proposal once a client is ready to pay.

This will outline pretty much his site, what needs to be fixed and a brief idea of the
work that is going to be carried out over the month.

I got one made in Adobe Indesign or some tool and I just edit it now with the
right text for each client respectively.

Do you include screenshots of where they rank now, or what they need to improve (by using screenshots of their sites), pointing things out etc.

Templates and shiny tools are not good if you're not acting like you're 101% confident in what you're saying.

Keep your offer short and sweet and do not promisse shit you can't deliver but tell them that your services will save their money and bla bla bla...well, you got it I guess. Of course, be as professional as possible and answer your mails fast. Time is monkey.

Since most of our services are content connected we do not deal too much with clients that demand No.1 spot on Google so it is a bit easier for us.

For my own record keeping, I do take screenshots of their website and keywords positions and of the first couple of result pages. Also I use rank trackers to keep track of my progress.

This serves me as proof and also to keep updating the client on the progress.
