Hey guys do you use SEO plugin by Yoast? How to get better results with it?

I've always used All in one SEO pack for wordpress and it's good, but I've heard SEO by Yoast is better so I've installed it in few micro niche blogs.

With previous plugin (all in one SEO) it was easier for me to add more keywords in an article, instead with SEO by Yoast you need to use only one "focus" keyword, is there any way to use multiple keywords with Yoast plugin?
Or should I use only one focus keywords (long tail kw) with Yoast to get better results?

    Thanks for your time.

No way to use multiple keywords. Yoast best for Quick setup. You can Add Google Knowledge Graph, Social Card, meta add of Specific Taxonomy etc by single click. Yoast interface is better than All in SEO pack. I am just using for it. :)

You can use multiple keywords. For that, you need to change the plugin settings and then you can do it.

Using multiple keywords is a bad idea. These come naturally from CTR and content, don't add extra keywords in your meta keywords. Focus on one keyword and perhaps work in 1 or 2 more in your meta descriptions and use synonyms in your content and you should be doing fine.

Also, use a variety of keywords for your direct anchor text.

Don't use any plugin at all -> do it manually.
Reasons? The less plugins, the faster your site is and if you do it manually you have more control over your on-site SEO and won't screw up.

Yep, good Idea. In Yoast plugin you can add the focus keyword, not multiple, I need to change the code.
I usually search a keyword and see if it has low comp and good cpc, also I target a focus long tail keyword.
Then I write the article using multiple times the main long tail keyword (focus), so I can have a good keyword density of about 2-3%. So I use the main kw (focus main one) in the title, meta description and in h2 or h3 tags.
Then I use some other keywords (check comp first) in the content of article and use some Inbound marketing to get more traffic.
Btw I remember to write content for people not only for search engines.

I've used All in one SEO with Jetpack, it was good. I need to learn more about Yoast, but if used properly it can save time.

I only use YOAST to manage Title and Meta's

On Page, i dont focus much, as its better to write content that is compelling and makes sense rather than optimizing it to make it SE friendly,

Yoast puts this into your header on almost every page on your site.
http://whatwpthemeisthat.com/ can show that yoast was used on your site. It's likely a shout-out to anyone who inspect your site
    that you do seo.

<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast WordPress SEO plugin v2.1.1 - https://yoast.com/wordpress/plugins/seo/ -->

However, it's good for beginners and makes deindexing your categories and author page easy.
    Robots.txt editing is easy, too.

Something for a link I guess. I guess experienced guys can eliminate this link from the plugin php files.

I like yoast because you can set it up so fast.

noindex and follow: tags, categories, media pages, author pages, date archives and sub pages of archives

Delete %%sep%% %%sitename%% from all titles and metas

Why delete %%sep%% %%sitename%% ? Does this improve rankings?
