I realize some may not want to reveal what tools you use, but I'm looking around the web and I see a lot of pay-for SEO tools such as Moz Pro, etc. and wondering if they are really worth it. Dropping $500+ a month on a set of tools seems pretty expensive and unless and I was making some serious cash, it's difficult to justify such costs. Yet it seems it would take 10000's of man hours to build a good ranking manually which obviously is an amount of time nobody has to spare these days.

After trying almost all of them, ahrefs is probably the best one and the only one you really need

One of the reasons why most website owners choose to focus on Search Engine Optimization as opposed to paid advertising is because of the long term benefits associated with it. If you're a Small Businesses, they are really worth it . I still was earning $3,000-$5,000/month, Although, I must pay $500-700 a month on a set of tools(SEO tools, SEMRush, Ahref, Proxy, Captcha,...)

Thanks for the replies. I've not heard of some of these, and I am building my definitive list of tools that are must-haves. It would be a dream to earn $3k-$5k+ per month after costs.

There are paid tools that are worth the investment. Though not everyone's best will be the best for you. List can include Ahrefs, Scrapebox, Majestic, Buzzsumo.

If you need tools, you can try group buy. They might not be good for agencies, but great for individuals or small businesses

I think we can all agree that all the most commonly use paid SEO tools out there are worth it but it will depend on your abilities to extract value from them i mean obviously is not enough to just purchase them that wont guarantee you will make money online but your abaility to master it use and get the most value out of them, my 2cc.

Sorry to say. At my level now, groupbuy is a must for me. Same tools, same function, different expenses. Luckily I have my own sources that help me almost a year now. Basicly its the same amount If I try to rent 2 tools for a month with the retail price.

Speed doesn't matter with this. Only thing is don't save any reports, if you don't want someone to see your research.

Some free SEO tools are available for SEO peoples in the market like "Similar Web"... "Groupbuyseotools" also good one to get many SEO tools in one place, but limitations are there. They are not providing all SEO tools, and also have some restrictions in access the given tools also.

Best premium SEO tools are; semrush, ahrefs, opensiteexplorer and majesticseo.
