Ah, I've started a fansite and obviously added lyrics to it. My problem is that I don't want to get 'penalized' for having this duplicate content - the lyrics.

I've tried to change them as much as possible, adding woow instead of just wow and other variations but I still think they'll be counted as duplicate, am I right ?

Any of you have lyrics sites out there? What do you do not to get penalized by Google in this situation?

im sure if you use /n for every line, you have completely changed your style,
try to change all around, i mean css styles, tables, graphics, and the structure, i mean for example artist>album>song to artist>year>all songs... try to change the style you put there, and dont forget to put every song title in the <title> to get indexed as faster as possible.

Try to add slowly, every day not as much as 100-300 new lyrics or you are going to get penalyzed faster.

;)

My two cents

Google will see it as a duplicate content for sure, unless u make a new lyric :D

But I think you will not gety penalized. Try build some link for each page and you will be just OK.
