    Hi Everyone!

I thought I would create a thread based on my success so far, although small, and maybe use this as an example to show others that taking action is the key to any success. From there, you can go on and tweak away.

I have been online for a couple of years now, and unfortunately in the past, put all my eggs in one basket. I had a successful hair loss blog promoting Provillus through Market Health. Sales were growing each month and was doing great. Traffic increasing each month and was ranked #1 in Google for high search term keyword. I was on the verge of creating my second site when Market Health decided to start shaving all of my sales. I sent numerous complaint emails and in the end just gave up.

From there, I decided to start an Offline SEO business, which is now doing pretty well, but is really not what I want to be doing. I outsource most of the work, and get decent results, but I do not want to be glued to a desk answering phones all day and dealing with people who want everything for nothing. I would prefer to have freedom when I want and have multiple streams of income.

So I though I would start back into the SEO world with a few niche sites. I have now built 6 sites, all Clickbank products, which are all based on high search term keywords, with medium to high competition.

I have not worked too hard on them yet, but I am definitely now motivated after seeing some early potential with them. Each website is built as an authority site. It does not review the products, but instead has "Expert" style articles, leaving the reader missing something. A few text links and product banners, but the theme of the sites is true authority.

I use WordPress for each site, with a high quality custom theme. Usually something from themeforest or elegant themes. I don't mind spending 3 days customising a theme to look good, as I want my sites to be of high quality.

The sites I have are as follows: (Please note, numbers are not exact to prevent reverse engineering of my sites and products)

    Site 1: Keyword Global: 40,500 Alexa: 19,400,000 Hops: 302 Sales: 3 Earnings: $94
    Site 2: Keyword Global: 673,000 Alexa: 13,000,000 Hops: N/A Sales: 2 Earnings: $60
    Site 3: Keyword Global: 49,500 Alexa: 05,700,000 Hops: 257 Sales: 2 Earnings: $91
    Site 4: Keyword Global: 246,000 Alexa: 29,000,000 Hops: 53 Sales: 1 Earnings: $45
    Site 5: Keyword Global: 1,830,000 Alexa: 15,000,000 Hops: 256 Sales: 0 Earnings: $0
    Site 6: Keyword Global: 49,500 Alexa: 26,000,000 Hops: 80 Sales: 0 Earnings: $0

As you can see above, Alexa rankings are very poor, but as these sites are only 1 - 1.5 months old, with very minimal content and no backlinking, I think that at least 5 of the above sites all have potential.

Please note, I am not just targeting the keywords listed above. I have compiled a very large list of LSI keywords for each with much smaller search volume. Once these are ranked for, I will move onto the larger keywords.

Also, although these keywords have high search terms, they are not the hardest of competition. I have been able to rank keywords similar on first page both for my hair loss site and for various customers.

When doing keyword research, in my opinion, don't just choose a keyword because Google Keyword tool says it has low competition. I do not look at number of competing sites either. The only thing I look at is the quality of the first page results.

    Is the keyword string together?
Are the sites of authority? If so are they a threat?
Does the Search Engine site descriptions have a good click through call to action?
Are the sites listed actually targeting the key phrase?

If you can get past these steps, you have found a golden keyword.

I now have a list of another 12 domains/keywords which I own, all of which I will be creating authority sites on.

I am happy to show my plan of action and plugin I use if people are interested. I can create a separate post for that? It is nothing new, just well organised and simple. Just takes time to implement.

I hope that I can get some feedback from some of the "Big Boys" on this site, as I am really wanting to hit the $500+ per day mark as soon as possible.

I am not wanting to do anything BH, or use any automated tools, other than basic Web2.0 tools and am looking at doing more simple high authority manual back linking. So any suggestions from top SEO guys would be great.

I would like my back linking to look natural in eyes of G.

Anyway, I better get back to work. Thanks for reading and looking forward to your feedback. :D

Thanks, will try not to let you guys down :)

    Action Plan is as Follows:

Theory: Create High Value Information/Authority Sites based on high search term keywords. These authority site run in a PASSIVE way, offering information and linking to Clickbank products, or other affiliate products.

This is pretty basic, you would of seen this a thousand times before, but I will try to describe each way as best as I can. You will first need to find a product you wish to promote. You can find info on this forum about this, I won't go through this.

    Step 1: Keyword Research:

For those of you who are familiar with Google Sniper, you will know that they suggest targeting keywords around 10,000 monthly global searches. I see this as a big downfall, as it limits the amount of keywords you can target on 1 domain. Instead they spend money on purchasing lots of domains, and have to do twice the work. Rather, find a two word keyword with very high search (50,000 - 100,000 +) and research its competition.

Competition is as I listed in the first post. Do not worry about the number of competing sites as most do, in most cases if there are 500,000,000 competing sites, 98% are not any competition to you, they just have a keyword or 2 drizzled through there content, and are probably a different niche.

Instead I look at who is my competition. Some say if Wikipedia or Aboutdotcom are on 1st page, stay away. I say, first look at the key phrases in their posts. Are they actually 100% relevant?

Ask yourself. Is your content going to be better structured than theres?

Don't be unrealistic, but if you have a basic understanding of SEO, you will be able to see this. And at the end of the day, you are going after high search term keywords, so this will require a good amount of work.

Now look at LSI keywords: What I like to do is gather a list of 50 - 100 LSI keywords that are buyers keywords, information keywords or would result in someone wanting more info. You now know that you have content for your site.

Each LSI will be a new article. You now have 50 - 100 Google Sniper sites on 1 domain, all with Global monthly searches ranging from 300 - 10,000. I sometimes even write articles on keyphrases with 33 global monthly searches. Its all updated content for your site and more content for SE.

    Step 2: Organise Yourself

Open up a spreadsheet and name it your main keyword. Paste all of your LSI from Google Keyword tool, along with monthly searches (Use the export to excel function)
What I do then, is next to each LSI, I write an Article title with the keyword in it.

As soon as an article has been written and published to the site, I highlight it.

    Step 3: Domain registration

DONT create a spammy domain name. You will notice last algo change, allot of these "Sniper" style sites lost rank. This is because they come across as pure keyword spam. If you can include your MAIN keyword in your domain, do it, but try and make it attractive to the user. Do not use a long tail keyword either. I prefer to use main keyword and a "human" emotion/feel.

This is not the best example, but I could not be bothered looking for main keyword domains. This just shows that a keyword is not always critical, it is the quality of the site that is.

    Eg:
    Bad domain name: *** how-to-get-6-pack-abs *** - Alexa 2,564,000
    Good domain name: *** simplyshredded *** - Alexa 39,838

Which is more an authority site? Which receives far more traffic? Which is more memorable? Which site would you trust? Which site would you bookmark? Which site would you prefer to have?

    Step 4: Wordpress

I use wordpress on all of my sites, if you don't you are crazy...

Always use a clean high quality theme. Go to the download section and find some Premium WP themes for download. Spend time customising these. Look at your high authority competitors, even a broad competitor....and make your site appear more professional than theirs is. Even if you spend a week doing this, rather do it the right way. It can mean 6 months down the track getting twice the conversions.

    Plugins:

    All in One SEO
    Google XML Sitemaps
    PC Robots
    SEOPressor (download from BHW?)
    Easy Privacy Policy
    Contact Form 7
    WP Total Cache (optional)

    Permalinks:

    /%category%/%postname%/

    Settings -> Writing:

Update your ping list (Google is your friend for this)

    Settings -> General:

    www on both URL's

I am not going to tell you how to use each of the above plugins, just use them to the best of your ability.

    Step 5: Writing Your Posts

Choose your keyword title from your spreadsheet, and create a post of minimum 400 words.

Create a new post, and use the SEO Pressor plugin to help you optimise this 100%. Note, SEO Pressor will want you to include a h1 tag, your theme should already have this as your post title, so just make sure of this first. I do not include h1 in my body, only h2 + 3.

Fill out your All in One SEO pack at the bottom of the page for each post. Create a strong call to action. Capitals on all of your keywords. Fill out 3 - 4 related keywords and tags. Publish.

Step 6: Get your site indexed.

Easy ways are to drop a link on a Youtube Video, Social Bookmarking etc. Make sure you have at least 3 articles on your site.

    Step 7: Add links.

Add 1 - 3 banners on your site. No more. I usually have one in my sidebar and 1 in my text, which is generated automatically (edit your single post file).

Create 2 - 3 php files which will re direct to your affiliate link. Name these on relevant keywords. All links to go through these files.

    Step 8: Natural

Make your site appear natural. Don't always link to your affiliate products. Sometimes add a Youtube video as a post, linking to someone elses site. Link to a wikipedia description. Link to an About dot com article etc. Just make it look natural. If you are only linking to affiliate products, than your site is of no value to Google.

So far, I have only created 2 - 3 articles for the sites mentioned in the 1st post. If I had 20 already, I would be much further ahead. They are already making sales based on very minimal content and 0 back links.

If you can create 5 sites, and write 2 articles for each site per week, do some high quality back linking, you will probably overtake me in no time flat.

Please note, I may not be doing things in the best way, I have just decided to list my journey, and hopefully get some of the more experienced earners to help me in some way. This is also to help motivate you to do the same. I will keep you updated with my results.

    Thanks to all for subscribing.

Just wondering if some of you guys who are earning too, could show a average hops/sales count, or conversion ratio. This is just something for me to keep in mind when optimising my conversions. (SEO only)

How many hops you get a day?
How many sales you make a day?

    Thanks

Could you elaborate on this a bit more? What do you mean by they were shaving your sales?

This really worries me as I have several sites with Market Health products on them so far. I have only made a few sales and received 1 cheque so far, but if they don't pay out properly I won't make any new sites for their products.

I also loosely follow the google sniper method, but I've been noticing that the sites don't rank nearly as easy as he (george) says they should. Im doing a ton of backlinking and also starting to go back and add more articles/blog posts to the sites because they dont seem to have enough content. Although I do tend to go after keywords with more competition than he recommends because I just cant find any keywords fitting his exact criteria!

Are all your sites in different niches? Can you elaborate more on expert style article and leave the readers" missing something ? Are you targeting readers who wants a solution or just giving info ?

You should be able to find some posts on here with other people who are pretty pissed off with MH. I was earning a very nice income from them, then my sales went to 0 overnight.

As my site was built around their product, and had allot of content, I could not just change a few links and words here and there. They never responded to any of my emails, and from memory, I think I read somewhere that they were investigated as they had allot of complaints against them. I figured I should rather just use Clickbank.

I have bought products through my own affiliate link before, and they show up almost instantly in my stats. I don't think I can go wrong.

I was only on MH for around 3 months, but why would my sales go to 0. I got really depressed over it as I thought I had finally beaten the 9 - 5.

With GS, I find allot of it is fluff. You really have to discern what is right and what is wrong and what you will think will work for you. The GS method is basically Search Engine Spam. Obviously it works, but with Google getting stricter, you are only shooting yourself in the foot. You have got to ask yourself. Where will Google be in 10 years? No more spammy sites I bet.

Yes, at the moment different niches. I have some other domains that I have bought which are related, but different root keywords.

I think in the future I will also purchase a second hosting account and different domain register to help split up my eggs. Have heard some guys on here have lost all there sites from SE indexes. Pretty scary.

With style of writing. What I call expert style is making you look like you really know what you are talking about. Don't outsource a bunch of cheap articles. Either write high quality content yourself or find a high quality American writer. But this can be expensive. Sometimes for content ideas, I go to org sites of the country. For instance. If you have a website on heart disease with a product that outlines a diet for a healthy heart, I would go to a website that is of some importance like heart foundation dot org dot au.

From there I will find a in depth article, and rewrite it to 100% uniqueness. This can take 20 mins. If there are diagrams, find similar diagrams on other site, or Google images and add them to your post.

Try steer clear from crappy ezine articles that are just fluff with a click through. You know the type with 40 adjectives before each word.

I also do not use call to actions in my articles, as this keeps me safe from Review type FTC rules. I am not saying I do not have to comply, but I am no suggesting people to buy products either. I just have some adds on my sites that are related to my content.

With the "missing" information, if my article only talks about the problem that they want solved, but my add or banner can solve the problem, they are more likely to go to that site and buy.

I have put the fear that there heart condition is extremely serious and they have to do something about it. There just so happens to be a ad on my site that can offer them a solution to this problem.

So yes, I am targeting readers who want a solution. I may or may not give them one, but the banner ad or text link always will.

well first off low competition in google doesn't mean the seo competition is low. It means adwords competition is low AKA it has low ad relevancy or not many advertisers so it's actually bad for adsense.

I guess it is good that I did not mention adwords competition then....If you read my posts, the competition I spoke of is immediate 1st page competition. I do not refer to adwords competition as useful, instead I ignore it.

"don't just choose a keyword because Google Keyword tool says it has low competition. I do not look at number of competing sites either. The only thing I look at is the quality of the first page results."

And I also do not use adsense.

Just thought that I would let you guys know too, over the next 1 - 3 weeks, I will be building 4 more websites, Just trying to bring the number to 10.

I have used a couple low competition sites here too, trying to see how they go. Might get faster results, might not...who knows.

Global Monthly Searches are as follows

    Site 7: 27,500
    Site 8: 8,100
    Site 9: 60,500
    Site 10: 5,400

And as a reminder, these are only for the root keywords. I will start off by concentrating more on longer tail, or related keywords with lower competition.

For on site content. I plan to add 2 articles to each site every week. This is all that I can manage at the moment with other commitments. I also have to look at a link building solution.

At this stage, I am think of doing things manually. High quality web 2.0 properties, ezine, 1 Youtube video and book marking. It is allot more work, but I have tested services such as Linkpushing etc with not much success at all.

So I will be busy figuring this out, so will not have any great results of the next few weeks, but if you have any suggestions for backlinking, please let me know
