So i have 2 sites to promote offers.. blasted both with scrapebox & xrumer, only problem was for xrumer i accidentally used the wrong site's anchor text.

Result? after 3 days, the wrong anchor text site ranks on page 2, the right anchor text site ranks on page 6. the right anchor text site is filled with keyword density and unique articles...

    ..wtf

be careful with that statement, g can throw you from pg 2 to pg 10 in 2 hours and vise verse, its not that predictable, ESPECIALLY when using blackhat methods, when using white hat, I would only go as far as saying that hard work pays off, nothing more.

I agree with dragonlube, SEO is very unpredictable when using Blackhat methods.

This does not show that any algo has changed. What it does definitely show is the importance of your anchor text. This has been and still is one of the major things that Google takes into consideration for ranking. It is obvious. You are stating the results yourself. Use it to your advantage.

SEO is definitely not predictable - otherwise it would be easy. But it's all part of the fun. After all, you wouldn't want business to be boring, would you?

So are you saying that the site that you used the wrong anchor text for, ranks on page 2 for the anchor text that you WANTED/MEANT to use? Or it ranks on page two for the WRONG anchor text that you used?

If it ranks for the anchor text that you WANTED (but didn't use), then that is because you are ranking based on your on-page SEO, along with the fact that you got a lot of links to that page (even though they didn't have relevant anchor text..... it still counts for something).

As for the site that ranks on page 6, for the right anchor text, that is probably because you are getting penalized for using the same exact anchor text too much. This seems to be even more of an issue as of a few weeks ago.

I vary the HECK out of my anchor text now. And it has been working great for me, even after the recent changes and what not.
