Quick question: If I wanted to rank for a keyword, but the keyword is no where to be found in my main domain name and I wanted to add it this way: www.mainsite.com/keywordhere/posthere/

Would this be the same as having an exact match domain?

it wouldn't hold the same value, BUT it definitely is noticed by google. There are many keyterms I just tested it with and saw that google highlighted a directory/folder in one of the results that matched one of the keywords I searched.

You can use inner post for SEO purpose and exact match domain, it will work like a charm but you cannot create a folder like a that.
