I recently bought a long tail keyword that is 4 words for $100 on go daddy auctions. This keyword is an exact match that gets 3,600 exact monthly searches on google. This keyword has a CPC of $50. Of course the big boys are on first page, my question is can I make it to first page if I SEO? My .com domain name has the exact match as the long tail keyword. I am just wondering if I do some minimal SEO and get on top

Please keep your stupid comments to yourself. My field is not SEO, my field is facebook. I found an opportunity on go daddy auctions and I am asking a simple questions out of my field.

If the keyword has a CPC of $50 and you're not comfortable with that, then don't do it.

Your emd means nothing OP that added value went out the window few updates back, emds have little to no advantage these days imo, perhaps in super low laying fruit long tails but not anything slightly competitive, look around in the SERPs it's all about brands emd is irrelevant..

You dont have to be in SEO field to know basic stuff. And if you are doing a 'minimal' search on this forum, you will find ur stupid answer.

Exact domain match literally means nothing these days. The same amount of SEO needed for non EMD is what you are going to need to rank EMD.

Here are my questions for you and anyone else in a similar situation:

    1) What is the domain authority of the domain?
    2) Are there any back links still pointing to the domain?
    3) Depending on the niche, your best best is to get edu and gov backlinks to point over to your domain that will build up your domain authority and Google will trust your site more. This is already assuming you have a full site up with content, etc. Once you have your site up, PM me about Gov and Edu links :)

So you bought a $100 emd domain without doing your homework first?

    Dude seriously...
