A seo guy from in my country contacted me today about spamming his blog with the typical scrapebox comments you write and his clients blogs. I thought he was trying to sell me something so when he asked who did my seo I said 'me' which dropped me right in it... he then asked why I was spamming his and his clients blogs etc and I luckily thought of f**i**v**e**r**r.

I just played dumb and said I bought some seo services there and didnt realise and asked a bunch of seo questions as if I was interested. He then said if he reported my site which he wont as it was a service and I was unaware i could get my domain seized.... and blacklisted from google..

I know I can get black listed but domain seized? tell me he is joking...

Anyway though would google really take a spam report seriously? I mean I did afterall use proxies.

Your domain will not be seized unless you're violating someones trademark and they take you to court.

They could report you to spam sites or Google but it takes a lot of reports for it to be a serious problem. They could complain to your registrar and they might give you some grief but again one complaint probably isn't going to be a big deal.

Don't worry it's happened to me a few times and nothings come of it. There are billions of spam comments and they can't do jack.

Ah nice, I mean they are a real company who services bigger clients and have like 10 staff members.... they could probably do some damage if they wanted. Its what I get for running a 500k blast without making it no duplicate domains :( normally I do but i had like 100 urls from my site and didnt think it would matter.

In the future I will just spam my tiers instead. This time it was to my money site sub pages because it has a decent PR and has been registered like 4+ years and has a steady ranking so its somewhat safe as only about 100k got posted anyway and out of those only like 10k will get through giivng me 10k links throughout 60 pages.

I responded to defuse anything as if I didnt he may have reported me. If he does see this thread or employees do then they clearly use blackhat methods themselves.

If I did get deindexed, would I get adsense banned?. Its a legit company that I own not seo related so id be worried if it got deindexed as i rely on local searches!

I'm sure he gets spammed constantly, I wonder why he bothered to waste his time contacting you.

You could always share that list on here, then he will have some serious spam problems.

    Cheers!

lol was a 500k list and his sites were probably like 100 of them he wouldnt tell me the sites.

If I wanted to though i could find sites hes seod through backlinks compile them into a list and scrape their sitemap and his sitemap and then distirbute the list. I dont want the hastle though to be honest if anything its a good thing as its made me more cautious.

    Thanks all, appreciated !

A mate of mine who is hardcore whitehat said that usually it takes about 4+ reports before it even gets flagged. My PR is two after like a week as well which he said could raise flags.

If you use godaddy you could loose your domains.

It is not a godaddy domain. It is a dynadot domain and is a .co.uk

Surprised he came at you, however recently I got 38 comments from the same domain to a blog I have in the space of about 2 hours, this was a pain in the ass, but as I am on here and as I want to get links I normally will give "1" link if it is relevant to the blog and the comment is not spun piss.

Maybe you accidently hit him like this, then he had to delete all the comments or explain to a client who just does not understand, you said it yourself do ensure that you make it no duplicate domains and maybe you need to look at your proxies?

Some dude says he's gonna tell on you? Who would he report to and what would he say?

Brother, for future reference, your response should always be:

"I don't know what your talking about. I haven't posted any comments to your site and I have no control over what other people submit in the comment section of your site|sites. If you don't want comments there, then do what all the rest of us do, delete them."

If you felt like going on, you could also say:

"I get hundreds of comments on my sites everyday, some of them I keep, some I delete. If you don't want comments on your sites, get rid of the option for people to add comments, don't threaten me."

    Or something like that.

some seo's really get the hump, i had a german webmaster follow one of my scrapebox links back to an eccomerce site of mine and he was going insane on my live support swearing at me in german etc

i wouldnt pour fuel on the fire ... personally i'd either apologise or not respond to them if possible to let the issue die as soon as possible.

Well to be honest mate I didnt know it was about spam and I dindt realise they were as big as they are. I thought he was trying to sell me something so i just phoned to see what he wanted and then he dropped me in it like that (prior to asking about blog commenting) and I knew straight away so I used the excuse I said I used about f**i**v**e**r**r and made out i was dumb and pretended to login to my fiverr account and was like 'something called a high quality seo link package?. What does it mean? its commented on your site??' he then gave me some advice and whatnot and I played the victim.
