great share, but i have a question, if i had a domain aged like PBN, and i want to build up domain for money site, it can be safe or no ?

if it’s clean then yes it would be fine to use.

@davids355 can you please tell which service is this?

Through which u can track your keyword/page ranking on Google, Bing, Yahoo simultaneously

serpmarker.

One hell of a post brother thanks for sharing, I am currently going through this taking notes, and watching ahrefs videos on youtube to understand how to use it.

Anyone on BHW that does this service all in one ? Pretty much what you just posted but all in one service ?

does the website name matter ? do you choose try to include keywords on your domain that are not hard to rank as well?

thanks mate. Website name doesn’t matter. Yes, you want groups of keywords for each article - primary keyword can be harder with good search volume but also target closely related longtails with lower comp.

There are plenty of services in the marketplace offering niche site creation but you can research and do it yourself as well.

Think about how you are going to make money

j46AGNT.jpg

This is important. I have added this in here because you should be thinking about this as you move from thinking about your niche to finding lucrative keywords. I have made the mistake many times in the past of being dead set on a niche, jumping in to that niche and then struggling to find any way to monetise the site.

So it is important to look at the CPC for your keywords and not just the search volume, it’s also important to think about whether there are any affiliate programs that have products relevant to your target audience and its important as well to think about the keywords you choose and what the user intent is going to be behind those keywords – are they even looking to buy something, or are they just looking for free information?

As well as the obvious reasons behind this (To make sure there is money to be made) the other important point is this – finding out how much money there is to be made in a niche is often a good indicator of how hard it’s going to be, or how much effort you are going to have to put in, when it comes to ranking your site.
.

I know this is an old thread, but what a great guide, this is the foundation of any IM site. My question here which as far as I see it and very few, if any, mention about how do you research the available offers, whether they are affiliates, clickbank or whatever stuff that can make you money on your site by placing ads or getting commission ....

Let me explain my question is more details:

Lets say I have a site that is for fitness and diet, lets say I'm going to make the site more specific about low carb diets and then I design the whole site about that, following all guidelines on this thread and lets say after the research I found some good keywords that have medium or low competition and my site is all optimized for low carb diet and this niche seems to work and may be make some good money, now before I waste time and keep optimizing for 6-12 months, I need to FIRST make sure there are offers for low carb diets like books, food, supplements ... now this is the HARDEST PART: how do I find the current offers for affiliates, click bank or whatever, I have not seen anyone here explain this subject as a guide or there may be one but I can't find it, why is this not discussed here? when in fact and to me: this is the MOST IMPORTANT subject that needs to be discussed, why are all the secrets around this? LOL.

If someone takes the time to put such amazing guide, there is one missing subject that is a MUST.

I'm a glad I found this guide, we all write blogs about what we love and think about making blogs about what we are passionate about, but heck, who cares, why spend thousands or hours writing about something that won't make you a penny, why not spend the time on something that can make you some $$, you can spedn tons of money and time on getting a domain, designing the site, working on some SEO/ backlinks ..... but at the end you find out that there are no money can be made since you may have picked a stupid niche or something that does not have any offers like affiliates or clickbank or whatever as I'm not at that stage yet.

you’re absolutely right; you have to have an idea of how you’re going to monetise you’re site before you start. That’s part of the keyword research stage.

you need to ensure that you can match up offers, products or other saleable items to your keywords. If not, then at least make sure there is Adwords competition and check the cpc that you can expect to earn from Adsense.

look your keywords up in google keyword planner and it shows you cpc and competition (which represents the number of advertisers competing to advertise for the keyword).

Also you can google search for the keyword and see how many ads are displayed in the results - then you have an idea of how many advertisers there are. Then you know if it makes sense to monetise using Adsense.

but obviously if there is a clear product that can be sold directly or via an affiliate program that’s probably the better route.

google keyword planner

To get google keyword planner, you have to have google adword account going on, right?
Interesting enough, I have a personal blog that is been ranking for some keywords in my niche but I don't know how to monetize it, if there is monetizing possibility for it, the search volume is not much, between 200-500 but I find this interesting as I did not even work on optimizing the whole site, I was just writing things that I love .... which is why I find your guide is a MUST, it should be a book actually :).

So I figured while I'm in this stage, trying to get myself very educated about the IM and not making many mistakes, taking my time in learning, I can actually use my experience that I have and some of what I have acquired here to start making some serious $, my weakest point is that I don't know how to find offers or as you say, monetize things, so right now, I need to work on it.

I hope that whatever I have already written in my blog, is actually going to be part of making some $ rather than going to waste. But like you said, you yourself may have made some mistakes and wasted many hours of work, if only you did what you have written in this thread, and again, you wouldn't have gotten this experience if you have not made mistakes LOL.

If you have ads running then you get a lot more accurate information, if you don't have ads running then you only get estimated search volume. As for the advertiser data and CPC, I am not sure whether that is also restricted. You'll have to check. But as I mentioned, you can still search manually - you can definitely get the CPC easily - either from keyword planner, or from other keyword research tools. Then you just google the keyword, for example if the keyword is "best 4x4 car" then search for that on Google and if you see only 1 paid listing at the top of the results, or none, then you know its not going to be feasible to monetise with adsense. However, if you see 5-6 advertisers then you know its possible to monetise with adsense.

As for finding offers or monetising in other ways, it is just about taking time to research, and to think outside of the box. For example, you always have various options such as adsense, amazon affiliate program, clickbank, other affiliate networks, working directly with a brand using their own affiliate program and so on. There are always many different ways. If you can find a product that clearly matches the keyword then its obvious to go for that product.
If you can't, then you have to try and think outside of the box - if there isn't something obvious, then what might the same audience be interested in?

For example, say your keyword is "best graphics card under $100" but for arguements sake, lets say you can't find any affiliate program where you can promote graphics cards, then thinking laterally, you could assume this audience would quite possibly be interested in gaming keywords, gaming mice, RAM, games, steam giftcards, virtual currency and so on. So you can think of other ways to monetise like that. Then you need to try different offers and just see if they convert.

Wow Great Guide share. Thanks for sharing SEO Guide for free.

Thanks and no problem at all :)

Understood. I appreciate your help, and also this group in general. I have a vegan (broad topic related) site, and I need some direction with it in terms of which way to move the niche in. The articles (only 15 right now) have all been outsourced with topics from nutrition, a couple of recipes and how to type articles, but I'm really trying to figure out how to stand-out from the crowd, as it were. I have affiliate links on the site from a few places but in 12 mths not much going on. I would appreciate your help. Thanks so much.

Make sure you are targeting groups of keywords in each article, make sure that ranking those keywords is achievable.

Work on your on page, internal linking. Build backlinks to your site consistently and with quality in mind.

Keep adding to that content regularly in termsof new articles. Basically whatever you’ve been doing, notch it up a gear.
